Ok, After proofreading this I realized I needed to put another warning on this story, especially  this chapter. It's a hard read. It's very heartbreaking. Take note please!

"Tom, Where's Maddie?" My wife BreAnna, yells at me from downstairs. A slight cold chill runs down my spine. Maddie is a rambunctious two year old, who can get away from us in a blink of an eye. I lay the script down I was looking over and head downstairs. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, I'm sure she's just hiding from her Mum. As I approach the kitchen, I can hear panic in my wife's voice as she yells for our little girl.

"BreAnna, Calm down darling, I'm sure she's around her somewhere, where was the last place you saw her?" My wife takes a deep breath, "She was sitting here at the kitchen table coloring on her Frozen coloring book as I washed up the dishes. Then I went down the hallway to put the dishcloth into the laundry and when I came back, she was gone. I can't find her anywhere Tom!" I put my hand gently on her shoulder. "Okay, love, You continue to look in the house, I'm going to take a look in the backyard." She nods her head, and starts to go through the house yelling Maddie's name. I head to the  sliding glass door, that leads out to our yard.

The first thing I notice is that the sliding door is slightly ajar. I open it the rest of the way and walk out on to the deck. I stand there with my hands on my hips surveying the contents of the yard. Then I see it, The gate to the pool is wide open. My blood runs cold as I take off running towards the pool. I can hear myself saying, "Please God, no!" But it doesn't sound like my voice. It comes out in a high pitched scream. I make it to the steps of the pool and I nearly jump to the top step and land on the deck. That's when the horrid realization hits me. Maddie is floating  in the pool face first. I jump in the pool and grab her lifting her out of the water and laying her on the deck on her back. "BreAnna! BreAnna!" I yell hysterically for my wife. I see her running towards me. "Call 911, now BreAnna!"
