I had managed to grab some white and black, distressed, mock-brick wallpaper along with some new paint, all to redo the house. Honestly, it looked old and worn down, and that's exactly the opposite of what was desired.

I had grabbed a light, dulled blue for the living room and a light gray color for my walls. I also got a black color for the entryway into my room and my closet. I decided to get a big mirror, too, which will be shipped over on Monday. Overall, the material was more expensive than I thought it'd be, but I still had plenty more money left. I'd better save that.

I decided to get some new sheets and clothes while I was out, too. I carried all that I could, and while the items were heavy, I didn't mind too much. I also picked up a new pair of (f/c) Converse high tops and black Vans.

I heard a loud ding! come from my bag, so I reached in after setting a few bags on the sidewalk to grab my phone. Checking the Caller ID, I saw that my dad was calling. I answered.

"Hey, (Y/N), honey?"

"Yeah, Dad?"

"Could you please pick up some food for us? I mean, that's if you aren't carrying too much stuff."

I sighed, shaking my head. "Dad, I'm fine. I just have a few big bags with me, but other than that, I'm fine. I'll be a few more minutes, okay?"

"Thank you, honey! The nearest place is Pop's, so I would suggest going there. I'll pay you back every penny of the cost!"

"That would be awesome. What do you want, Dad?" I asked him. He told me his order, said goodbye, then hung up. I sighed and dropped my phone back in the bag before I bent down to grab the others I had set down.

On my way to Pop's, I noticed a certain ravenette sitting in a booth. That guy...why does he look familiar? Is that Jughead? That can't be him, he looks too mature.

I pulled my attention away from him. I can't be thinking about boys right now, anyway. I need to get food for my father and I.

I walked inside, hearing the familiar bell above my head ring. Some people turned to look at me, and they gave me weird looks as soon as they did. I ignored them and walked up to the counter. "Hello?"

"Welcome to Pop's! How may I help you? (Y/N)? You're back?" Pop Tate asked me as I looked up at him. I smiled awkwardly, chuckling quietly and nodding. "(Y/N)? You're back?" he inquired, slight excitement flashing in his eyes.

I smiled wider, giving a small statement of affirmation. "Yeah, I'm back..."

Pop Tate smiled at me before asking me what I wanted to order. "Could I please get a cheeseburger, a hamburger with onion, 2 sides of fries, and 2 Cokes?" Pop grinned wider before talking again. "I'm guessing that second order is for your dad?" I chuckled again, smiling bigger and less awkwardly.

When I proceeded to approve and ask for the price, he shook his head. "Don't worry about it, it's on the house. For a returning favorite and her father." I tried to tell him that I couldn't accept that, but he wouldn't back away from it. I gave up eventually. I did convince him to let me leave a tip, though.

I sat at the bar and waited for the food to come, avoiding everyone who did a double take while looking at me. There was one person that I noticed that was staring me down, though, and his piercing gaze was so hard to ignore; I had to look at him.

Yep, that guy I saw through the window was Jughead. Jughead Jones the Third was staring at me.

Holy shit.
