The day the Volcano erupted was one that not many remember, but one that several declared triumphant, why i don't know. All it caused was chaos and destruction. It was a story that i thought was only a legend, or a tall tale. I never thought that I would one day wake up and it would all be real. I never thought that with one small little stone, my entire world would be in ruins. Yet here i am, sitting in this empty house, telling you this story, as if it were just that. A story. Yet here tell you again that you are wrong. This is real, and it will one day, change everything.

Once the Prophecy is fulfilled, and the seal is broken, you will see. You will see that I am not some human who has lost her mind, but a living witness to the innocence of Iona Gaelaie, the strongest of the Volcano Sisters and kindest in all of Indromeda.

As I tell my story, I ask you not to close off your mind to the unseen world, but come at it as if it were a new adventure, one filled with love and passion. Danger and Destruction. Fire and Brimstone

As I gazed down the rod of my bow, I focused my eyes on the target in front of me. The small circular target must have been at least a good football field away. The air was gently blowing from the north, giving me a good drive, and with a gentle pull, I released the arrow.

It flew down the field a mere 50 yards before it fell and hit the ground with a subtle thunk.

"Relax your arms, and tighten your grip on the bow. Let the arrow be your guide, and when you feel ready, release."

The soft voice of Shadow came from behind me, and as i raised my bow i felt his hands grasp mine. Moving them to the proper spot on the bow.

"Don't think about the target, think of the arrow and where you want it to go."

With the last few words, Shadow stepped back and took a deep breath. It had been almost an hour since Shadow had gotten that close and it had shaken me. I had to keep focused though. If I wasn't able to master the bow, then how could i expect to be able to control my own nature?

I was the Arrow. I was the key point. I was also the target, waiting for the point to cut me like a knife, yet I was also a guide, waiting to carry the arrow from the bow to it's resting place. I was nothing. I was everything

The moments passed as I waited until all was quiet and pulled the string of the bow back. The arrow flew through the air like it was butter, and as soon as i looked up, the arrow had pierced the center of the target.

With a smirk I tossed the bow to Shadow and went to the control panel near the main door.

"I want to work on the Shimmer now, you can stay if you like but put your shades on. I don't want to explain to the council why you've lost your sight." I looked over my shoulder to see Shadow now wearing a pair of sunglasses.

Without looking i pushed the large button by the door and waited for the large arena to be consumed into complete darkness.By this point I had moved to the center of the practice area and was beginning to create a large ball of energy that lit up the entire room.

From this ball of energy I manifested several small orbs of glass and through threw them at the target, which still held the arrow. The impact of the glass caused the target to explode, creating small fireworks.

"Iona! I Have an idea, use the shimmer like an arrow, fuse the power and send a bolt of energy to the target, and at the last second create a glass arrow that pierces the target." The excitement in Shadow's voice surprised me, causing me to laugh, but i agreed, creating a new target.

I went to get the bow from Shadow and returned to my position. Raising the bow, I centered the energy like i would a normal arrow. The energy flew and before i could change the properties, the energy hit the target, and it blasted in all directions.

That's when the arena began to collapse in on us.

"She's starting to wake. We need to bind the shimmer before she does. The world will be safer without it." Rainae's voice drifted through the great hall, causing everyone to be silent.

I was awake, yet they didn't know that. I didn't care, but I couldn't recall what happened in the last few hours. Where was Shadow?

"You cant just lock her powers away! If you do she will have to leave Airea. You cant force her to leave like that. She didn't mean to destroy the arena."

The voices got closer and closer, and I could hear someone begging for my life. They were not familiar to me however. She seemed sweet and gentle, but the plea in her voice showed more. She was determined to have me keep my powers, why, i did not know.

So i decided to wake up.

"W-Where am I?" My voice came out shakier than i planned and everyone looked back at me startled.

"Iona, you are awake!" The voice that had once been sad and depressed was now joyous and happy. Content.

I looked around the room confused. I was in the infirmary, but I was alone. No Shadow. "Where is Shadow at? What happened? Why am I in here?" I was beginning to panic, and no one was answering me. Then she spoke.

"Iona, you don't know me but please listen. You were practicing with Shadow in the arena, I guess you tried to use your magic with the bow, but instead... you destroyed the arena. It fell on you guys. They found both of you, but.. Iona, Shadow's gone. He was crushed by one of the beams."

"You killed a person using your magic, as punishment you are to have your abilities bound, and you will be cast out of Airea for the rest of your years." Rainea's voice was anything but compassionate, Icy and cold, nearly as cold as the ice inside her heart.

"Rainea please, just let her stay. She didn't do that on purpose, she didn't mean for anyone to get hurt. She just wanted to practice. Right Iona?" The girl looked at me pleadingly, hoping her words to be true.

"Right, it was Shadows idea to fuse the bow with magic, he wanted me to do it. I didn't convert the energy in time though. When pure energy connects with more pure energy, anything can happen. I guess this time it exploded." I spoke softly, looking down, not able to look up to the two people in the room.

The queen of ice, and a stranger fighting my case as if I were a criminal. A cold blooded murder.

"I am sorry Zapharia, but the rules cannot be changed. Though it may have been an accident, she still killed someone. Iona is still guilty of murder. It may have been an accident but there is no telling what can grow from it. Don't you remember what happened with Ictysle? He froze his wife, killing her. He then began craving to kill. he killed almost half of Airea, including himself. We can't risk another one of us going homicidal. Iona, you have until dawn tomorrow to say your good-byes." With that Rainea walked out. And her mind was set. Tomorrow morning, I would be not only powerless, but homeless.
