Chapter 23: Game Racing and Planning

~The Following Morning~

I was half asleep some when I opened my eyes.

I noticed that my back was turned against Zak's chest and his arms were softly around me. I checked the time on the clock and it read 6:45am. I suddenly felt absolutely sick to my stomach so I quickly shot up out of bed. I immediately ran into my bathroom and started to throw up in the toilet. Zak must've heard me throwing up because the next thing I know, he came in behind me. He was right next to me as he held my hair back for me. He rubbed my back comforting me, "It's alright sweetie, I'm right here." I knew he didn't know exactly what else to say besides that but yet he was trying anyway. After I was done, I flushed the toilet and looked at Zak.

His face looked sleepy and I got to say that it was extremely adorable. He rubbed his eyes and asked, "What's going on baby? Morning sickness?" I nodded my head in response as he grabbed two pills from the mirror cabinet for me to take to help me feel better. He also handed me my bottled water that was on my nightstand. I quickly took the pills as I went to rinse my mouth with mouthwash; from the nasty after-taste you get after you vomit bad. Surprisingly, I'm not getting sick as much as I thought I would. I know I will be vomiting a lot, getting craps, headaches, not feeling well...the whole nine yards from being pregnant.

Zak and I got back into bed as I snuggled next to him.

He kissed my forehead, "Baby you feel warm...are you sure you'll be alright? You sure your not coming down with something?" I looked up at him and responded, "It's probably just from me being pregnant Zak. Since you gave me some medicine...I'll probably be feeling better later today. I promise I'll be alright my love." I gave him a soft smile and a peck on his lips as he kissed me back. "I'm also sorry sweetie that I can't take your pain away...although I wish that I could." "I know you would Zak...we can get through this together and I know that it'll be worth it." "It certainly will be sweetie...it truly will."  

I cuddled into him tightly as we were both sleeping on our sides.  He kissed my forehead once again and wrapped his arms around me. I put my hands on his bare chest and laid my head against it. I felt him smiling softly as I smiled too as well...knowing this can be our new normal. I then noticed he was falling asleep as I heard his breathing and saw his chest moving up and down. Followed by him, I soon fell asleep by feeling and hearing his heartbeat.

~Later On That Day~

I was feeling much better now than I did early this morning.

I had hooked up my PS2 in the living room and we were all playing a racing game I found, along with my other games. All of us decided to take turns racing against one another...since I only have two controllers as well. Zak and I were racing against each other and we made a bet. The loser has to give up ten dollars and has to make breakfast tomorrow morning. Surprisingly, I was in first place while Zak was in second. It was a three lap race and we were on the third lap already. I laughed glancing at him quickly, "I'm going to beat you baby."

He chuckled and responded, "Oh no you're not sweetie." His car then went past me, as he was now in first and I'm in second.  "Grrrr," I mumbled under my breath as I heard Em laugh next to me on the couch. Then, I decided to speed up a lot and I managed to get in front of Zak just in time for the end of the race. I managed to win this round of the race as Em high-fived me. Nick was sitting there laughing and Zak was just there kind of shocked. Aaron was laughing too as he said, "Zak...it looks like you just got beat by a girl dude." Zak then started to laugh and I held out my hand, "Well it looks like you owe someone money honey." He dug ten dollars from within his wallet and handed it to me.

I did a-little happy dance as he kissed my cheek seeing me like this. "Ha-ha...you also have to make breakfast Zak," I exclaimed. We both looked at each other and started to laugh even more. He kissed my forehead and smiled, "I don't mind cooking breakfast anyway Crystal. Love you honey." I giggled and responded, "Love you too baby." "You're just so adorable seeing you geek out like that." He grinned at me as I felt myself starting to blush. I looked down towards my feet, "I am not Zak..." "Yes, you are to me baby and you always will be."

I smiled big as I looked up at him and our hands were intertwined. It's crazy to think that tomorrow will be me and Zak's anniversary already. It feels like time has flown right on by...like we don't even know it. I hope mom, dad, Amy, and David will be back tomorrow too...I really do miss them. Pulling out those thoughts, we both sat down as all of us continued to race for awhile. Soon, we noticed it was close to dinner time so we all agreed on to have tacos and yellow rice. Emily asked me while all of us were in the kitchen cooking, "Hey Baby Bear I got a great idea! After we are all done eating...why don't we all go to the club tonight? We haven't been there in awhile."

I looked back at her while standing at the stove, "Yeah I would love to do that and I do miss Ed and Mike. It'll be really great to see them again after all." Ed was the club guard who stood outside the door and Mike was the club bartender. Em and I go there a lot and we became close enough to Ed and Mike to be great friends. Mike even let's us have free drinks now because we became his favorite customers and 'cause we were there so much. Emily and I looked at Nick, Zak, and Aaron as they agreed to go with us.

Em whispered in my ear, "This is going to be fun going with the guys...just like you dreamt Baby Bear." She winked at me and I just giggled in response to what she said. We haven't been out together in awhile, like out to a club or anything like that. But now since we will be going with the Ghost Adventures Crew. It's certainly going to be interesting but really fun at the same time. I've seen videos of what they're kind of like outside the show and they really are amazing men too. Em and I wondered what it'll be like to see them when they are with us in the club.

It was like a dream come true for me to be going to the club with Zak.
