Monday Night
"So..." I drawled out, "thanks for the ride neighbor. See ya." I waved at Peter and tried to step out his car that was parked in his driveway. The ride here was comfortable but I just couldn't keep my eyes off him. A second more with him and I'd probably kiss his face off.
"Hold up a second." He grabbed onto my wrist tugging my back into the car. "Why are you running away from me?" He frowned.
Wow, he still looks cute frowning.
"I was running from you? Pfft, no I wasn't. What? Me, running? That's a lot of work. And I don't do work, actually now that I think about it, I don't work for anything. Which isn't as great as it seems 'cause nothing good will come out of me not working or trying because not everything comes to you in a silver platter, you know. You have to work hard to play hard, a great man once said." As you can tell I'm a a nervous rambler.
Peter just laughs though, "Oh my god, you're cute." Internally, I'm squealing like a little girl right now.
Though in the outside, I scoffed, "I'm not 'cute'. I'm sexy. Amazing. Beautiful. Smart."
"Arrogant." Peter chimes.
"Yeah -wait- yeah you're right." I shrug and he chuckles. "Was there something you'd like to say to me or can I go home now?" I asked raising an eyebrow, acting as if there wasn't a herd of elephants in my stomach right now.
"Well...um," he opened his mouth and hesitated then shut it again, "never mind. I just wanted you around for a bit more tonight." He blushed and I laughed lightly, whilst on the inside I was burning.
"Good night, fat ass." I smile at him and exit the car.
"Good night, sweet cheeks." He calls out and I laugh entering my house.
Today was a good day. Yay for me.
☕️ Tuesday Morning ☕️
"Welcome back to hell." Lydia said smiling as she stood beside me. We were all just outside of school, waiting for the doors to open.
"Yes. Welcome, indeed." Audrey spoke in an awful British accent, her camera hanging from around her neck.
"Please, let Lyd do the acting, Audrey." Jasmine smiled sarcastically at our friend.
"Ooh," I drawled out, "is someone getting feisty? Me likey." I wink at Jas, who's frown deepened.
"Are you okay?" Lyd asked, a rare concerned look on her face. "Anyone giving you trouble?"
Jasmine glared at our best friend, "If they did, I know how to handle it on my own. I don't need your help." She snapped.
We all took a step back from her harsh tone. She never spoke like that before. To anyone. The chick wouldn't hurt a fly.
She then blinked and her whole frame sagged, "I'm sorry. It's just - I'm tired more so than usual and Francis has been over more often than I would like. It's getting to my head. I have a huge headache." She explained rubbing her forehead.
I nodded, "I don't like the reasons behind that Jasmine but I like her and want her around more often."
Lydia pushed me slightly, "Leave her alone, Ken." She glared lightly but smiled any-ways. I knew she liked feisty Jas too.
Then the bell rang and the doors to the school opened and we were free to enter hell. How fun.
