Meeting Sarah J Maas

Let's backtrack to end of January 2016. I had just finished Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard.
For some reason when I finished that novel I felt like looking up a book review on Youtube. That is how I ended up discovering Booktube and realised that was a thing.
I found Sasha Alsberg from abookutopia's review on this novel I had just finished reading.
I was so fascinated by it that I basically binge watched a bunch of her other videos. Then I came across a recommends video of hers. At the top of that list was Sarah J Maas' Throne of Glass series.
I thought nothing of it at first. Then another week went by and I saw this author's stuff all over this new community that I discovered. So, I figured that they would be a good place to start.
A week or so went by and then it came time to go on vacation to Cuba. I assumed that there wasn't going to be any wifi, so I knew that I was going to have to find different forms of entertainment.
The day before we left I got my mom to take me to Chapters and there I bought all of the books -or so I though, but that story is for a different time.
I took the first two books- one of them being a bind up of the prequel novellas- with me the next day.
One the plane ride over I read some of the first novella out of the five in the bind up. When we got there I soon found out that I was right about the wifi.
All I did on that trip was read. Let me tell you it wasn't the greatest trip of my life. Me and my parents all came back with stomach problems. My phone broke halfway through the week so....
I ended up finishing the books two days before we had to go back. So all I had was a phone that wouldn't turn on and a notebook I wrote in.

So this is the part where the fun begins...for me anyways.
Sarah J Maas is probably one of my favourite authors of all time. I've read all of her books and now I get to say that I've met her.

Step 1: Get up at ten to 5:00 AM in the morning.

Step 2: Ride an hour from my home town to the city at 5:00 AM in the damn morning.

Step 3: Get there and have your father  drop you and your mom off in his all electric vehicle.

Step 4: Bring your chairs -that belong at a soccer game- inside.

Step 5: Line up.

Step 6: Find out that you're sixtieth in line out of the 250 that would get wrist bands. Also find out people had been there two hours before you.

Step 7: Wait for three hours then have your mom buy you Tim Hortons.

Step 8: Wait for another two hours before they let you into the store.

Step 9:  Wait in front of the stage and feel a little bad for whoever is 250th in line. (Because we were divided into five groups, since I was in group one I got to stand in front of the stage).

Step 10: Wait for author to come out and talk about her books and stuff.

Step 11: Meet her.

(I tried to upload the photos here but they uploaded upside down)
