Payton sat down in front of her family fidgeting with her fingers. "I have bug news to tell you guys"

Piper nodded wondering what it is.

"I'm engaged"She smiled holding up her hand showing us the ring. Everybody was silent then did a small cheer.

"You're only 18"August replied. Payton rolled her eyes.

"So? Age doesn't put a number on love"Payton snapped. Piper smiled moving to Payton and giving her a hug.

"I'm proud of you sis"

"Me too!"Aaron responded and also everyone else. Payton smiled hugging Piper back.

"Jalen is a very nice boy. So I approve"Aubrey smiled while looking at the rest of her family. They all nodded in agreement.

"Oh I've never met him. Maybe I will one day"Piper smiled. Payton nodded. It was an awkward silence until Payton spoke up again.

"I'm also moving out"

"It's about time!"Chris shouted. Payton mouth flew open.

"I mean, your basically a grown adult now. Sidney moved out, don't know why she still hangs here"Aubrey laughed. "Courtney and Chris moved out, yet they are still here"

"Aysia and Bryson your next"August laughed.

"That's what we meant to tell you guys"Aysia laughed while trying to get her 4 year old son still. "We are actually moving out!"

"I also have an announcement"Piper smiled. "Well I'm thinking about going back to school"

"Oh no, there's no need. You had enough credentials from freshman year to were you didn't really have to go back. But you still can if you want."Aubrey explained.

"Sweet"Piper smiled. Her phone rang and she took a look at it.

'Josh'. Pipers stomach filled wit butterflies. She stood up walking outside and answered the phone.

"Hey Josh"

"Hey Piper"Josh responded. Piper fiddled with her hair while sitting down on the back porches bench.

"Need anything?"

"Uh yeah. Um, if you wouldn't mind. I have a late class tonight and I was wondering if you could watch Aliyah tonight?"

Piper was stunned and didn't have any words to say.

"I know it's sudden and y'all haven't met before. But I have nobody else to watch her. I'll pay"

"I'll watch her Josh chill. No need to pay"Piper chuckled while tucking her hand in her back pocket.

"Alright. Well I'll drop her off at 7. Thank you again. I gotta go bye"

"Bye"Piper responded and they hung up. Piper smiled and put her phone in her pocket. "Love you"

Piper checked the one.

She gasped instantly running back inside.

"Who was that?"Aubrey asked while sitting back down with a drink in her hand.

"Josh. Look guys I'll see you tomorrow gotta go"Piper grabbed her keys to her new  black Mercedes.

She hurried into the car and drove off. Once she arrived at the apartment, she killed the engine and hurried inside.

"Oh I already cleaned"Piper frowned. She decided to start cooking dinner just so he had something on his stomach before he left.

She checked the time.

6:30

"30 minutes"Piper frowned. She then had an aha moment and took out her ingredients.

Once she was done with her chicken fajitas, she checked her phone just in case she had any texts from Josh.

Josh- I'm ousside.

Piper- spell it right. I'm on my way out.

Piper

I packed Josh's dinner up in a bag and walked outside. He stood out waiting with a big smile on his face.

"Okay so maybe I didn't have class tonight and I just wanted to hang with you"He smiled. I frowned.

"But I made chicken fajitas for nothing"

"We can still eat it. I just want to catch up"

"Alright then."I smiled. We walked back into the apartment and the smell of chicken hit our noises. "I had packed up your dinner just incase you haven't ate"

I handed him the bag.

"The real mvp"Josh thanked and sat on the island chair. I fixed my plate and grabbed a tea out the fridge.

"So, uh I got a date"I blurted out. I didn't mean too, it just didn't feel right.

"Oh uh cool who?"

"This dude Tyler."I was quiet then sighed and placed my plate down on the table. "Can I be honest with you Josh?"

"Yeah"

"I still like you. Mater of fact I never stop liking you."

"I like you too"He gave me a toothless grin.

"That's good to know."

"I wanna take you out on a date"

"When?"I asked.

"Whenever you what"
