He gets beat by his dad.
He's gay, came out and now his dad tries to beat the faggot out of him.
He distances himself from any happiness because the happiness he found in his first boyfriend only resulted in a kick to the face.
That confident girl that is always the teachers pet.
Always smiley and never not laughing.
She hides under a mask.
She was raped by her step dad when she was only 11.
But she would never show you that.
She's been told to stay strong.
We live in a world where we are ridiculed for feeling human.
Slurs thrown around in every day sentences.
'Whore'
'Faggot'
'Emo'
'Easy'
'Fat'
So we paint on a brave face scared to show an ounce of emotion.
We always will
Because that's what life taught us.
We were never taught to pay our taxes or how to deal with illnesses or mental health isssues but only taught to plaster in a mask until we found one brave enough to get through the day.
That's life.
And it's not okay.
