I'm running out of time... The Witch said I had two years. Two years to get married to a fair maiden. Two years before she sends the ninjas. Those two years are up tonight.
"Stuart! Fetch me my other shoes!" I yell to my royal stewart, Stuart.
"Right away, Prince Roberto!" Stuart yells back, from downstairs.
Stuart comes upstairs with my other brown colored shoes.
"Sire, if you don't mind me asking, where are you going?" Stuart asks. I bet he was wondering if I would leave home like my father did when I was 5. My father left home when he found out in Legalett, marriage isn't quite how it is in other places.
"Why, to go to meet the fair maidens of the land!" I exclaim, furrowing my brow. Stuart should know I'd never leave!
"And what shall you say?" Stuart asks, doubting my picking up skills.
"Hmmmm... I don't know."
"Would it be easier if I go into town and, perhaps, announce a ball for tonight?"
"Yes, that would be much easier, Stuart. Please, off to it."
"Yes, sire."
Hmmm. A ball tonight. What ever shall I wear? Obviously, a tuxedo, but which one? My orange one? My red one? My ocean blue one? The ocean blue would compliment my eyes.
"Roberto," A voice says, knocking at the door.
"Yes. Who is it?" I ask, annoyed at whomever it is.
"It's me, Bridgette. May I come in, Prince?" Bridgette, my bothersome twin sister, says, already barging inside my bedroom.
"Well, you're already in so, sure? What do you want?" I ask.
"It's about the ball."
"How did you know about the ball? Stuart and I just came up with the idea," I ask.
"Stuart told me right before he left. Now, I know you have terrible fashion sense, so I have come here to help you."
"Me? You think I have terrible fashion sense? Look at your outfit. A pink shirt with purple 'jeggings'. At least I don't pick out my clothes in the dark," I say making a snappy comeback.
"Whatever," Bridgette says, rolling her eyes.
"Is that how you treat your elders? No wonder mother loves me more," I say, making yet again a snappy comeback.
"Who cares? Cause you're older by five minutes?"
"Everybody does. And those five minutes were the best time in my life. I didn't have to deal with you."
"Anyhoo, back to your outfit. I think you should wear your ocean blue tuxedo. It'd compliment your eyes."
"I just thought of that before you entered my bedroom."
"Mmhhh, sure."
"Yes, I did."
"You're so immature," Bridgette says, before she exits the room.
