They kept me in a room, locked up, with only Luna to keep me company. My rogue brothers were not allowed in.

She told me stories about her and my mother. They were quite the pair, causing all sorts of mischief. But then my mother's pack was attacked, and Luna told me it was only a day after my mother found her mate.

"She was so in love with him. They had been friends all there lives but always had a crush on one another. I remember finding his body near her house. He had her jacket clutched to his chest." She took a deep breath. "You could see the tears running down his face through the blood. He was barely alive. He was so heartbroken."

When I pressed Luna further for information on the man who should've been my father, she would always start sobbing and have to leave the room.

She would come back and pretend like it didn't happen. I let it go. They had been friends after all, she was still grieving.

The pain had lessened and settled down to a sharp throb with spikes every once in awhile. Luna held me when the worst would hit. I never cried, I couldn't cry.

All my crying had been done. I found myself reliving things I didn't want to remember. The pain now was nothing to what it had been that day. I had wanted to keep myself pure for my mate if I ever found one. But after that day, thoughts of mating had been demolished and blown away.

The pain of the piercing thrust, the hard, choppy hands that grabbed my body. A warm blow up doll was all I was to the bad rogues. It took me days to not feel a sting when I moved my legs and weeks not to flinch when the rogues, even the good ones, came near me. Even Alpha had made me flinch, but he quickly put my fears of him to the gutters by touching my shoulder lightly and vowing to never hurt me.

My thoughts often led to him, Alpha. He was my number one father figure. I had others in the rogues but he was the most prominent. The most reliable. Sometimes, especially when he would smile proudly at me, I wished he was my father. I even imagined a scenario in which he knew he was my father and was waiting for the right time to tell me. We did have the same hair color and eye color, brown, but lots of people had those colors, even the other rogues. I dismissed the thought all together.

Luna had left to go get me some food so I was alone. I got out of the bed and walked around, stretching my legs. I walked to a window and peered out. A sleek black car pulled up the drive as I watched and parked right in front of the door. It's driver got out and hurriedly opened the rear door.

I turned from the window as Luna opened the door. She looked to the bed then to me, "Why are you up? You should be resting." She rushed over to me and began pulling me towards the bed.

I stopped her, "No, I've rested enough."

She pursed her lips, "You've rested enough when I say you've rested enough." She would say that every time she would catch me up and about. I asked her who was in the car and she said it was a relative of New visiting. I asked her why and she got a far away look to her eyes.

"Its his brother. Rex, or New as you call him, is helping search for his nephew. He was kidnapped by rogues awhile ago and his father hasn't given on up finding him."

A few days after that revelation, as Luna and I watched a TV show, there was a knock on the door. She shook her head at me when I moved to get it. She opened the door and three men and New came in.

The bad rogues did the same thing years ago. Right before they grabbed me and they took turns.

At that thought, I was immediately on the ground already half shifting with my fur and teeth growing. Luna rushed to me and covered my eyes and held me. "Calm down. Please, they won't hurt you." I felt her turn her head. "Get the other men out! She will shift and hurt them! Get them out!" She yelled at someone.

I heard the door open and close. Luna's grip on me lessened and I wiggled free. Now only New and one man were in the room.

The man looked very similar to New but he was older with graying hair. He was giving me a quizzical look. "What is wrong with her?"

"I'll show you what's wrong with me." I snarled and made a move towards him.

Luna grabbed me again, holding my arms behind me. "She's been locked up in here for awhile, she needs to burn off some aggression." She smiled apologetically.

The man nodded and slowly approached me when I calmed.

"We need you to help us find Alpha Myles, of the Black-River pack."

My mind began to reel, the Black-River pack? One of the largest packs in America has lost its Alpha?

The man continued speaking, "We were told you are a good fighter and a decent hunter. Frankly, I wouldn't be asking but I've run out of options. My son needs to come home."

"Yes, sir." I nodded my head and turned on a heel to begin packing. I had a feeling this would be a tricky find.
