What Lies Within A Kingdom

Chapter Three

Three days had past and Kaira them had finally arrived at the Yamanaka village . Kaira was fast asleep when Nyx gently woke her up by bumping her gently on her back since she fell asleep resting her head on his chest. As she finally  opened her eyes, Nyx told her where they were. She then quickly sat up right and could not believe her eyes.

The village was surrounded by nature itself. Their houses was old traditional Japanese houses those with the sliding doors and the beautiful paintings they had on their doors.  The women wore white robes at the bottom and any color robe that came on top of the white. There was few girls that was samurai in fact the only girls she saw that wore the traditional samurai robes was two, but the one was Nyx's sister  her name was May-may. May-may had black hair with a golden highlight in and she had plain hazel eyes. The other one was her friend she was Reilene, she had black hair with blue in and her eyes was brown. And both of them was the same age as Kaira five years old.

After passing the front of the village they went over to a huge Japanese home that was being guarded by guards. When they saw Haru and Nyx they opened the gates and let them in. When they had finally gotten inside, a stable boy came running to them to get their horses. Kaira had help by one of the guards to get off the horse while Nyx had gotten off himself .

May-may that had heard the news from her mother that had told her aunt and her aunt that had told the whole village. Came running out of their house to greet her future sister in law. May-may then examined Kaira and saw that Kaira was a pretty girl.

"Where is your mother May-may?" Haru asked his daughter.

"Oh, where is my manners let me go and tell her you're here."she said and ran back into the house in search of her mother. Nyx and Haru followed but, Nyx stopped and told her to come a long. Kaira then took a deep breath and went into the house she would have to call her house too for the time.

When they got to the houses door Haru had told Kaira to take off her shoes, she then did as he asked and took off her shoes. Kaira then followed them inside after Haru had slide the door open. The room was lid by beautiful lanterns made by the villager women seeing the old Japanese patterns around the lantern. The house floor was made from smooth wood, the stairs, everything was plain traditional Japanese.

"You must be princess Kaira i had heard so much about, nice to meet you I'm Nyraxa and I'm the lady of this house."she said and bowed to show respect to Kaira, Kaira did the same . She then examined her future mother in law.

Nyraxa had dark brown hair like Nyx, hazel eyes like May-may, she wore a colorful Kimono and her hair was in a low bun with a flower in her hair. She also seemed like she was in her early 30s . She then showed her to her room where Kaira could place her things, around the house. Nyx had left somewhere with his father after getting permission from Nyraxa. Nyraxa then asked May-may to show Kaira to the training grounds where they trained after Kaira had gotten dressed into comfortable cloths. It was a black outfit that had a long pants like those of ninjas and a thin sleeve and her belt was white. Nyraxa had even tide Kaira's hair into a high pony.

May-may had also gotten dressed in the same outfit just her belt was yellow plus. The two went over to the training grounds where Kaira saw Reilene fighting another student. She also had a yellow plus belt.  Reilene was tough and strong she defeated the boy like it was nothing and they were only sparring.

The training ground was huge it had a statue of a golden dragon in the front on some type of stage where Nyx and Haru was standing with other samurai sensei. "May-may, is your brother a sensei?"

"Not yet, but he will be after the ceremony. Where my father will announce him as a new sensei. "

"Wait, so he has already past the last stage of becoming a samurai?"

"Indeed. Looks like your future husband is way cooler than you thought huh?"

(I didn't know.)she thought and followed May-may to the centre of the ground where she was going to demonstrate the fighting style without using your kitana.

"Roy, come here.!"

A boy with blond hair , blue eyes and six years old came running to May-may when she called him. He bowed at her." Yes milady?"

"Spar with me!"

"As you wish."

"And remember don't hold back."

Students stopped sparring the others and turned their attention to May-may and Roy that was about to spar, even Haru and Nyx decided to look and same for the other sensei . Kaira noticed this and wondered just how strong May-may was.

The two got their position ready. The two  circled around each other until Roy decided to attack first. He lunched for May-may with a fist, she simply grabbed his fist and turned his arm. "You're holding back, don't hold back."and she let him go. He then took another stance and began hitting her, May-may dodging every punch he could throw at her. She then ducked and was about to trip him, when he jumped up and was about to punch her from above. May-may quickly did back flips in order to dodge his attack that  made him hit the floor. She then got up and kicked him in the face. He grabbed her leg and flipped her over that made her land on her back. May-may quickly kicked herself up and just as she got up, he was already at her and kicked at her. She quickly slide past him and stood at the back of him and tried to attack him from behind. He grabbed her leg again, but this time she used her other leg to jump up and kick him with the loose one. He fell and got up again about to punch her since she was still on the ground after that attack. She covered her face with her arms and let his hand slip past her face . She held onto his arm and did a side split kick that made her kick him in his side. She then rolled away from him and as he was about to hit her one last time she ran over to the pillar and did a back flip that made her land behind him, she took out a dagger and held it to his troat.
"Dead."

The crowed looked in amaze at how May-may had just sparred with Roy. The two then stood across from each other and bowed to each other. May-may then went back to Kaira. "That is how your actual first spar will be like. Without your Kitana."

"You were amazing out there. Did you learn all of those by yourself?"

"No, it was here and some tricks like the back flip and things that i learned from Nyx."

"Wow, i don't know if ill be able to do what you do."

"Nonsense, anyone can as long as they never give up. Come it is almost time for my brothers ceremony and mother said she would like us to help her with the other things."

"Shouldn't we get ready then?"

"We are gonna, but after, there is still time before the ceremony. So we have to leave now."she then grabs Kaira by her hand and runs out of the training ground and to the village.

The night had arrived and the ceremony was a success everyone had now know that Nyx and Kaira was to be wed when he had turned 18. And Nyx was finally a full samurai sensei.
