Green, luscious trees high up above where I laid were swaying in the breeze. I couldn't place where I was but I knew it was somewhere I have never been before. The undergrowth of what seemed to be from a forest covered me. I tried to sit up but all I could do was look and listen. I closed my eyes and listened to my surroundings. I heard the crashing sound of leaves as they hit against each other. The distant sound of an owl hooting and birds chirping became quite relaxing. As I continued to listen I heard a familiar voice that was getting louder and louder. She kept saying something but I couldn't understand her. It sounded as if I was under water. I opened my eyes and I saw this beautiful women standing over me. She had bold brown eyes, long, thick brown hair, and her figure was very petite. She wore a white robe outlined with the most beautiful gold I have ever seen before. I tried to sit up and talk to her but every muscle in my body was frozen. I couldn't move no matter how hard I tried.
Out of nowhere this unbearable pain came across my body starting with my chest and dispersing throughout my figure. It was like I was being shocked with a million volts time after time. The lady said something to me as she faded away but I could not hear. "Wait!" I shouted. The pain became too overpowering. I took a deep breath and slowly let it out as I knew this would be my last.
"Does he have any ID?" a deep voice said.
"I couldn't find it at the scene and no one on the missing persons report looks like him," another said.
"What about the other people in the car?" The first voice said. "Do they have ID?"
I feel tired, not dead. Where am I? Who are these people? Are they talking about me? My mind raced with a thousand different questions. I wanted to know more before opening my eyes. I wanted to see what more they had to say. But before I could continue listening to them a sort of alarm sounded. It was right next to my bedside. This triggered them to rush to my side and one of them pressed a cold, circular device to my chest.
Then the mysterious individual said, "His heart sounds fine and everything checks out to be decent. He should be waking up some time soon, but for right now he needs to sleep. You can wait outside his door." I heard them walk out of the room and the door closing behind them.
Who were these people? Where am I? I still had a million questions and my body started to hurt again. This time I just gave into my exhaustion and dozed off into a black void of serenity.
As I fell into a deep sleep I saw that women again. This time she was off in a distance looking my way. I wondered who she was and why she seemed so familiar to me. A sound to the right of me stole my attention from her. It was a voice. A voice of an angel had entered my head telling me that I need to wake up. Her voice was so soft and gentle that it echoed through my empty thoughts. It was soon ruined by that annoying alarm.
As the beeping continued I began to wake up. My senses were dull at first, but soon improved. I opened my eyes and take a look around the room. There was a window to my left that let the bright warm sunshine into my room. A rocking chair was placed conveniently in a corner by the window. At my feet there was a sink and a box with white latex gloves. To my right there was that stupid machine that kept beeping. On the ceiling a TV was placed as if its purpose was to calm the person lying directly beneath it. All of the walls seemed to match the same color scheme, sailing on the ocean. A light blue sky with the wild, dark blue waves crashing together below, seemed to calm my nerves for a split second. Then the realization of me being in a hospital room hit me, why was I here? The smell of Clorox flooded my nostrils to the point I could not breathe. The counters were perfectly clean and the machine next to my bedside had wires attached to me! The blankets kept me warm but they weren't soft at all. I just laid there hoping someone would come and explain what I was doing here and when I could just go home.
