Chapter 43. [Tragedy]

THIRD PERSON

A few days have passed by and Mikah didn't take over Y/n for some unknown reason. Hayato on the other hand wanted to consult Y/n about something but he just ignored worrying that something bad might happen to her because of Mikah's lies.

Sitting on a bench, the lovers ate their ice cream. It was a normal Saturday mid afternoon and they rested for a bit after going around the amusement park and riding all the rides. Oikawa had his arm resting behind Y/n on the back rest of the bench while she rested her head on his shoulder.

Families flocked together as they walked by laughing and chatting about their day. The kids were noisy and cheerful and were either playing with each other. The sun was hot and fortunately, the couples were under a bench with the cool shade of a tree.

"Y/n, you'll go back to Aoba Johsai this Monday right?" Oikawa asked and glanced down at her girlfriend. She however gave him a side glanced and took a bite of her ice cream.

"Yeah, I'm excited about it" she monotonously said and Oikawa frowned.

"You don't look excited, is there something wrong, Y/n?" he asked staring into his girlfriend which had her eyes staring off somewhere.

"Oikawa..... If ever, you see something different about me, I beg of you to not believe whatever it is shown before you." she quietly said as she looked at him straight in the eye.

"What do you mea-"

"Just keep in mind whatever I said to you today, okay?" Y/n smiled a half smile at Oikawa. She can see the confusion in his chocolate brown eyes but later on he agreed and continued to eat his ice cream.

'Something's...... Off' Oikawa thought to himself as he stared at his girlfriend who is half heartily eating her ice cream. But later on, he brushed off the thought and continued their date to which kind of brightened up Y/n's mood.

~Time skip~

3 weeks have passed and Oikawa and Y/n's relationship was blooming. The news spread all over Aoba Johsai and fortunately, the fan girls didn't bother Y/n. Oikawa had to show a bit of his bad side to make sure that Y/n wasn't bothered or anything and some fan girls also know better than to not mess with the blonde.

Mikah still didn't take over Y/n for a few weeks and Y/n was thankful but still had her guard up. Any moment, any time, she will resurface once again and take over her. But for the mean time, Y/n is distracted with school and managing the volleyball club. However, one day:

"Where's Y/n chan?" Oikawa asked Iwaizumi who was picking up a ball from the trolley.

"I think she went to fill the bottles" he said as Oikawa turned to go after the blonde. He jogged towards the water refilling area only to see that a few bottles were knocked over on to the floor, it was even leaking water while the others were messed up on the sink.

"What is Y/n chan doing?" he asked as he proceeded to fix the water bottles and refill them himself. After refilling them, he filled the bag and brought all the water bottles to the gym.

It was already evening and
Y/n still haven't returned and Oikawa was worried along with the team. Oikawa tried to call her and fortunately at the third call someone picked up the phone.

"Hello? Y/n chan, where are you? You've not been here since morning? Where did you go?" Oikawa worriedly asked but no one answered in the other side.

"Y/n chan? Are you there?" he asked once again only to be silenced when he heard a moan?

Silent groans and moans were heard on the phone as Oikawa's eyes widened. Coming to realization, he shut the phone and breathed in air.
