Yes I'm back with another story... but I missed writing about these two so I am! This first part is long but has three parts. Make sure to comment on it, I love hearing from you guys!Henry gazed into the waters from high on the mast. With the wind blowing through his hair, if he closed his eyes he felt as though he was flying. It was the best feeling in the world.
"Oi, Peter Pan," a sharp voice yelled, catching his attention immediately. "Get down here!" Henry sighed, looks like his daydream was over. He grabbed a rope and swung down, right in front of Captain Kirkland. Even though he wore a frown, his emerald eyes were glistening with amusement.
"Reporting for duty Captain Hook," Henry replied with a goofy grin and a salute.
"You still have some work to do, lad," Kirkland lectured, handing a map. "Get to it." Henry sighed, but brought the map to a table and started to look over it. He was suppose to chart a safe passage back to England where the next world meeting was being held. So far they were in safe waters, but just in case he wanted a backup plan.
Suddenly, singing made his blood run cold. He looked up and saw everyone else staring at the calm sea in horror.
Sirens.
It only took moments for the crew to react. Many stuffed wax in their ears and led unwilling crew members under the ship until the only two on the deck were Captain Kirkland at the wheel, and Henry patrolling the deck. For some reason, the sirens song didn't affect them.
"Come swim with me," a gentle, male voice beckoned. Henry felt his blood ran cold as he felt himself unconsciously walk to the edge of the ship. He stopped in his tracks, and backed away slowly. "Come on, I won't hurt you. I only want to swim."
"What's wrong?" Kirkland called, causing a much needed distraction.
"One of the sirens is calling for me to swim with him," Henry called back. "The pull isn't too strong though." Before Kirkland could respond, a huge wave crashed into the boat. Henry felt hands grab his ankles and pull him off the ship into the unforgiving waters. He didn't even have time to take a breath before the waves claimed him."
"He's mine!" the male voice yelled. Two strong arms wrapped around him, and something bit his neck. Out of pure instinct, he opened his mouth to yell in pain, but water rushed in instead. He was going to die, by the hands of the siren who was holding him. He prayed to any of the gods that his death would be a swift one as he lost consciousness.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Henry! Wake up!" a loud voice commanded. Henry lazily opened his eyes, to see Captain Kirkland looming over him. Relief flooded through his emerald eyes as he touched his wet cheek. He heard a sharp hiss, and Kirkland glared above his head. "He's my boy you wretched monster."
"Well he's eternally mine," another unfamiliar voice snapped. Henry shifted his head, and saw the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. The man had shoulder length blue black hair, that was still wet from the sea. Gills Dark blue eyes glanced down and met Henry's gaze, and a breathtaking smile appeared on his face. He felt soft hands run through his hair, and guessed they were the man's. "Good morning mon amore."
"Who are you?" Henry asked, trying to sit up.
"Non, stay down," the man said, pulling him back onto his lap. "You lost a lot of blood."
"Yes, thanks to you," Kirkland snapped. "Henry this siren bit you."
"But you're still alive!" the man argued.
"But you were going to kill me?" Henry asked.
"A siren's got to eat," the man countered.
"I'm way too tired for this," Henry muttered. "Can someone just tell me what the heck is going on?!"
"We came to hunt the ship but you were prepared," the siren said. "I let my pride get the better of me and pulled you in the ocean. When I...took a bite I realized you were my, well, my soulmate. It's a siren thing."
"I still don't believe it," Kirkland growled. "You're just waiting to devour him when our backs are turned."
"I would never hurt him!" the siren yelled.
"Your soulmate?" Henry asked, sitting up and looking at the siren. "What do you mean, your soulmate? And what's your name?"
"In your language my name is Pierre," the siren replied. "And everyone has a soulmate, even Mr. Bushybrows here. You are mine, and I am yours." The siren touched his cheek gently. "I know it's a lot to take in, and confusing, but I will make you fall in love with me in a week."
"Not if I have anything to do about it," Kirkland interrupted. "You are a siren who almost killed one of my boys. You are leaving."
"If I go back I will die. I saved a human, and betrayed my kind," Pierre said.
"Not my problem," Kirkland smirked.
"It is because if I die, Henry will never be fully be happy again," Pierre said, pulling Henry back to him. Captain Kirkland's smirk fell off his face.
"I need some time alone," Henry cut in, standing up. He stumbled, and Pierre jumped up and steadied him. "Leave me alone!" Hurt crossed those beautiful blue eyes. Before Henry could let them sway him, he stormed off, up to his mast so that he could think.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Henry stared out at the sea, his mind whirling. He had almost died and was saved by a siren who claimed he was his soulmate. He was confused, angry, and surprisingly sad.
"Mind if I join you?" a gentle voice asked. Henry turned his head, and saw Pierre standing on the mast a little ways from him. He looked...different though. His gills were gone, his hair was dry, and he was wearing a loose white shirt and black pants. Henry shrugged, and looked back to the sea. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Pierre sit down. "I'm sorry."
"No, you were right. A siren has to eat," Henry shrugged.
"Well, that a little, but also with dumping everything on you," Pierre said.
"How can you tell that I'm your soulmate?" Henry asked, turning to look at the siren besides him.
"When I bit you, your blood tasted more delicious than anything I have tasted. Weird, I know, but it's the siren way," Pierre said with a chuckle. "I want no one else but you."
"You sure fall in love fast," Henry hummed.
"I'll give you that one," Pierre laughed. "But, only if you allow me to pursue you." Henry but his lip, and looked out at the waves.
"What will happen to me if I fall in love with you?" he asked. "Will you drown me?"
"Never," Pierre replied quickly. "I'd come and stay with you, and give up life as a siren. You would have to let me feed on you though. But only once a month or so." Henry nodded. "Is that an 'I understand' nod or a "You can woo me' nod?" Henry took a deep breath, there was no turning back now.
"Both," Henry replied. Pierre smiled, and kissed Henry happily. To his surprise, Henry found himself kissing back.
"You won't regret this," Pierre promised, stroking the others cheek. Henry nodded, and gave his siren a small smile.
"Peter Pan! Get your sorry butt down here!" Captain Kirkland yelled.
"Time to go tell Captain Kirkland my decision," Henry sighed. "See you down there." Before Pierre could reply, Henry grabbed a rope and swung down to the deck
