Chapter 3: The Parents

Fiona woke up in the morning exhausted, she had never had a night like that in her life. Once she opened her eyes and realized she was in her bed and in her bedroom. How did she get here? Did Scourge bring her home afterwards?

She quickly threw the blanket off her and grabbed her robe from the hanger on the door. She ran out of the room and down towards the kitchen for breakfast, who knew maybe Scourge would meet her in the hall.

As she ran down the hall, Tails out of nowhere appeared and she slammed into him! They both fell to the floor and looked startled at each other. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and-"

"No worries it was an accident no harm done," he said with a smile.

Fiona looked at him for a second and thought she knew him from somewhere, and then it suddenly hit her. "You're the gentleman I came to see when I was searching for my boyfriend right?" she asked.

"Boyfriend," Tails thought, "What a joke." Then he said out loud, "Yes that was me, I'm glad I bumped into someone I knew and not some stranger," he told her. "By the way you look beautiful today."

Fiona took a minute and smiled at him, "Thanks but I don't think being in a robe exactly shows my best qualities," she told him.

"I think anything you wear makes you look amazing," he said lovingly to her.

She obviously blushed a little. "Thank you. I should probably get going to breakfast so bye," she told him as she got up and started running toward the kitchen.

Too bad he had already eaten his breakfast because he could have had breakfast with her, but he made his first move on her so that was a good thing. Besides, there would be more chances for him to try harder. So he got up from the red carpeted floor and walked away from the spot he and his crush were.

Fiona ran around a bend and made it the kitchen, and then made her way to the dining room. As she made it in she saw her parents standing there with smiles on their faces. Fiona's mom was dressed in a light blue dress with short sleeves, with diamonds all over it. Fiona's father was dressed in an army suit with a bunch of medals on it. Fiona then smiled at them and ran towards them, throwing her arms around them as they did her.

"I thought you guys weren't coming home until next week," Fiona said.

"So did we, but the summit ended earlier than expected, so we got here earlier than we planned just to see our little girl," Fiona's father told her happily.

As they were hugging a figure entered the room and caught their moment and said, "Hey Fi are these your folks?" he asked Fiona.

She looked towards him and ended the hug with her parents, and walked towards her boyfriend. "Mom, Dad, this is my boyfriend Scourge, we met at the ball a week ago," she told her parents while looking at Scourge with a smile on her face.

Fiona's parents looked at Scourge. Fiona's mom seemed to like Scourge. "Hi Scourge, it's a pleasure to meet you,"She told him sounding very welcoming of him.

"The pleasure is all mine M'lady," he said while bowing down to her in respect. Fiona's mom seemed to like this boy, he had good manners.

Fiona's dad on the other hand just gave Scourge the evil eyes. He didn't want his daughter with a booger green type fellow, he wanted his daughter with a handsome young gentleman, not a suck up. But he decided to play it cool. "Hello Scourge, welcome," that's all he said, then he walked away. He was going to find his daughter a handsome young suitor, he knew there were others in the palace so he would have to find someone worthy of his daughter's affections.

Fiona's mom watched as her husband left the room, she knew he didn't approve right away. She took a breath and smiled at her daughter. "So sweetie how long have you been together ?"

"Only a day mom, you see after the ball a certain man avoided me for a week but then asked me on a date and took me out last night," she told her mother as she smiled at Scourge.

Fiona's mom could see in her daughter's eyes that she loved him, it was as clear as day, you would have to be as blind as a bat not to see it. "I'm very happy for you two," she told her daughter.

Fiona stopped staring in Scourge's eyes for a moment to look at her mother and smiled. "Thank you mom, it means a lot."

Fiona's mom looked at the time and saw that it was time to eat. "Well look at the time, it would seem that the servants should be serving our breakfast soon so let us get seated and speak about this lovely date you were on Fiona dear," she told them as they went to take a seat around the large table.

Fiona sat on the side next to Scourge while her mother took a seat at the top of the table. Fiona explained everything that happened on the date. Fiona's mom was really into the story. This young man was a real gentleman time a thousand, she couldn't wait till the day Scourge became her son in law. And if everything went smoothly she would have grandchildren.

'So as you can tell it was the best night of my life," she said cheerfully while eating her chicken from the plate. Scourge put his arm around her and kissed her cheek.

"Anything for my Fi," he told her lovingly as they both leaned their heads in and looked into each other's eyes.

"Well it would seem that you are a fine young man Scourge, and I can't think of anyone more perfect for my daughter."

Fiona and Scourge leaned away from each other and continued to eat while making small talk.

After they finished their plates they put them on the side and started to walk towards the exit. Fiona's mom looked directly down at Fiona and Scourge. 'Well I will see you two later," she said as she walked out the door.

Fiona then looked in Scourge's direction and smiled.

Scourge did the same and they both leaned in until their lips met. They kept the kiss going for a minute until they finally pulled away from each other and said at the same time. "See you." They both then went their separate ways.

Tails was walking down the hall when he saw the king enter his room, and Tails smiled and thought he should wait a few minutes before entering because he didn't want to be thought as a stalker. But he did want to hopefully get the king's approval because he knew from what he heard about the king that the king didn't like the kind of characters that were like that Scourge character.

Tails smiled evilly and knew soon he would be the one to get the lovely lady.
