I wrapped my binder around my chest, strapping it tight. I slowly slip on my shirt and look into the mirror. My jeans were black, not too tight, my shirt was dark green, and my shoes were neon pink. I wore my boxers to feel more manly, instead of wearing my normal, more girlish, underwear.

Yes, I am transgender. I was originally a girl, named Daniela. And now I'm a boy named Danny! It was hard to take such a big step in my transformation in high school. My mother was very supportive, and even bought me my first binder and went shopping with me for men's clothing. My father, on the other hand, wasn't as supportive, but he didn't say anything. Bullying is always a problem when you're transgender, but you just have to push through.

Now, many years later, I'm in a band called Hollywood Undead. They don't know I'm a trans male, and I don't plan on telling them. Although my binders are hard to hide from them at times on tour, they haven't figured it out yet. Surgery would be much easier to to, but it's very expensive and I know the guys would ask questions of why I have scars under my chest.

I sigh softly, swiping my hair to the side. I grab my bag, rushing out of the house. I was going to be late for rehearsal again if I didn't hurry up. I get into my car, sending Charlie a quick text message.

Hey Jordan! Just wanted to say that I'm gonna be a few minutes late. I woke up late. Sorry.

Charlie: It's cool Danny Boy. Dylan is late anyway too, so you're free...this time ;-)

I laugh softly and put my phone away as I pull out of my driveway. We had four hours of rehearsal today, so it was gonna be a long one. But I know that half the time we'll spend it goofing off and being the idiots we are.
