Chapter 1

Shawn p.o.v.

It has been 3 years since my beautiful girl, Andrea was born. She is so beautiful alongside her mother. Speaking of y/n I need to pop the question. We have been together for years and I think its time.

Y/n p.o.v.

My eyes flutter open to see Shawn holding me close. I kiss his cheek and snuggle my head back in his chest, hiding my face from the morning sun pouring through the curtains. I heard the sound of a door opening and tinny feet walking towards our bed and climbing on top of it. "Mama! Daddy! Wake up!" Says Andrea. Shawn groans and held me closer while I giggled. I think Andrea saw Shawn's arms around me cause she said, "Daddy let go of mama! She is mine!" Andrea then tried to pull me away from him. "No mama is mine!" Shawn talked back holding me tighter. "No she is mine!" "Mine!" "No. Mine!"

"Enough!" I say not in a serious tone but a playful tone. They both stop fighting and let me speak. "I am both yours. Now, how about we go have some pancakes and bacon with eggs?" "Yay! Pancakes! Pancakes!" Andrea then runs out of the room. I try to get off the bed but to only be plopped back down with Shawn's arms around my waist and for him to whisper in my ear; "You are mine and mine only. End of conversation."

After that Shawn let's me go so I go get dressed. After getting dressed I walk to the kitchen and start cooking pancakes, eggs and bacon. "Morning Mama!" Andrea says as she walks in being all dressed already. "Morning sweetheart." I felt two strong arms wrap around me and a head resting on my shoulder. "Morning beautiful." He mutters. "Morning." "Daddy! Mama is mine remember!" "No she is mine." And the fight starts again. Once I serve breakfast the fight ends and they sit at the table and begin to eat.

"So Andrea do you want to see Auntie Kaitlyn and Auntie Ethne?" Shawn asked. Andrea started clapping her hands chanting; "Yes! Yes!" I look at Shawn with a confused look. "What for?" I ask. "I have a surprise for you later today." He answers quite confidently. "Another one," I roll my eyes. "I need to start surprising you with muffins or something now." After a little while Shawn, Andrea and I were in the car driving to Ethne and Kaitlyn's house. "Can you give me a hint of what the surprise is?" I ask. "Nope." Shawn said popping the p. "But you usually give me a hint." "Not this time. This time it is very special." He said biting his lip.

We soon arrive at Ethne and Kaitlyn's house and drop Andrea off. "I need to talk to Ethne and Kaitlyn real quick." I tell Shawn. "Alright I will go talk to Cameron and Matthew." Shawn says. "Wait they are here?" I ask looking then finally spotted them. "Yeah they live here." "They do?" "Yes." I have a very confused look. "Oh you must not know but me and Kaitlyn have been dating for a while now. So has Ethne and Matthew." Cameron explains. "Yeah I definitely need to talk to Kaitlyn and Ethne." I say. The boys went to a different room while me and the girls stay in the same room. "Why didn't you tell me?" I ask them. "You never asked." Ethne said while shrugging. "Why though?" I ask. "Simple. I gained feelings for Cameron." Kaitlyn stated simply. "And I like dinosaurs." Ethne said making us laugh.

After about 15 minutes I went to find Shawn so we can leave. "Shawn?" I call. "Right here." He said and I saw he was already at the front door. "Let's go time for your surprise." Shawn had me wear a blindfold so I can't see where we were going. So we finally came to a stop and I can hear his car door open and close. "Shawn?" I call out. "Shawn?" I call out once again. Still no answer. I until the blindfold to see I was alone. I look around to see a note placed on the dashboard. It says, Follow the path of petals -love Shawn.

Why does that sound so familiar? I step out of the car to see not only a path of roses but an old house that doesn't look like someone has lived in it for years. And yet it looks familiar. And the petals lead to the woods which reminds me of something but I don't know what. I follow the path of petals, which leads to a clearing. In the clearing is Shawn holding his guitar. And that is when it hits me.

                      ~Flash back~

I woke up to a banging on my door. I slowly get up and open the door. No one's here, except for a note on the ground. It said, Follow the trail of rose petals outside. Love, Shawn. Why say love Shawn. You know what, I'm just gonna ignore it for now. I get dressed into a white tank top, blue jeans and black boots. I exited my room and walk into the living room. I noticed on the coffee table there was a rose along with note. I held the rose in one hand and the note in the other. The note says, You are beautiful, amazing, funny, smart. Love Shawn.  I feel my face get a bit warm knowing that I am blushing. I step outside to see rose petals leading to the woods. I follow the trail of rose petals that lead me to a clearing in the woods. In the middle of the clearing was Shawn with his guitar. He smiled and said, "This song is called Strings." He then began to sing.

fter he finished singing, he put down his guitar and walked towards me. He grabbed my hands and said, "Y/n I love you, and I want to make you mine. Will you be my girlfriend?" He looked at me straight in the eyes waiting for an answer. I smiled while feeling my face getting warm and said, "I love you too. And Yes, of course I will be your girlfriend." With that he lifted my chin up and placed his soft lips on mine. I kissed back and I could feel him smile. Once we pulled away he grabbed the rose out of my hand and placed it on my ear. I smile and pecked his lips.

"This song is called Theres nothing holding me back" Shawn spoke and began to sing.

After the song was done Shawn put down his guitar and walked closer to me. "Y/n ever since I met you there has always been something that made me mad for you. It has made me go crazy over you. You are amazing and I love you so much. Every word I said in that song I meant it. If you couldn't tell already this is the same place where I asked you to be my girlfriend, where we started. I love you so much and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. And I have to ask," He then got down on one knee and pulled out a tiny black box and opened it to reveal a ring. "Will you marry me?" At those 4 words my eyes were watering and and I repeatedly say yes. He smiled so big and stood up and placed the ring on my ring finger then I hugged him. "I love you so much!" I said to him. "I love you so much more."
