Found Out

I don't know how I couldn't see it. She had the same hair, same voice, but different vibe. The day I found out that my ex girlfriend, Ako, was the thief , my heart shattered. She was a criminal, a thief. Yet, even as Batman, her supposed nemesis, the one who's supposed to arrest her, I just can't bear the thought.
It was a fight like any other. I was tied to a chair, tape on my mouth, and cat woman doing her schemes to take steal various diamonds. I always wondered why she couldn't kill me—or Robin. She just ties us up.
"You know. You're so persistent to try and escape me." She said with a giggle while holding a giant emerald.
I tried to respond, but it got muddled away. I shot her a glare and squirmed.
"You're not going to escape me, you know? If you're that bored, how about I tell you about my hot boyfriend." She said. Wow. How did she even get a boyfriend?
After nonstop ramble about her boyfriend, which by the way I don't care about how great he is, I slid my wrists out of my bindings and took off the tape.
"I'd like to hear more about this dumb fella who is probably desperate, but I gotta return an emerald." I said before tearing off her mask.
A tear a escaped her beautiful green eyes as I saw that it was non other than Ako. Did she even know I was Batman? Or should I say, Subaru, the guy she dates when she's not cat woman? She was talking about me the whole time.....I took off my mask. Stupid move, I know. She gasped, widening her eyes then staring at the ground.
"S-Subaru.....?"
"A-Ako....why....?"
"Rich people always have lots of money while poor people suffer.  The least I could do is take what I should have." She said as she couldn't bear to look in my eyes.
"Don't you have money from gigs?" I asked.
"It goes to taxes, interest, my dad's gambling debts, drinking problems and holding up my parents.  They are targets of loan sharks." She said.
"Why didn't you tell me? I could help—"
"It's my fight, I don't want you involved with family problems." She said.
"Ako, what you're doing is wrong! You stole an emerald from someone!" I said.
"That person is rich. Can they not just buy another one?" She asked.
"I'm sorry, we're going to have to break up. You're a criminal, I'm a crime fighter. We're far too different. Goodbye, Saotome." I said before taking the emerald and returning it later that night.

I never could get over her, or what happened. Let's face it, I love her, yet I can't be with a criminal. If only there was a way, a way to show her other ways. But no....I haven't talked to her in months....I'm sure she's over me by now.
       I've had lots of support from Robin, he's been a huge support.  If he were a girl, I'd probably be in love with him.
