Diary of the Wimpy Kid: A Bully Named Trevor

AUGEST

Mom keeps saying that my body is changing and all that junk. The truth is that I wanted impress a kid in class by saying I grew a foot over the summer. I guess he was so impressed that he passed it on to the whole school. Even Rowley heard and I guess he told his mother. So when Rowleys mom and mine were chatting I guess they talked about the 1 foot thing and now mom things that I'm having a growth spirt or something.

FRIDAY

This school year is not starting off so great anyway. There's a kid in my third period class named Trevor, and I guess he's not so fond of me writing in a book that says " diary" on it. To be fair this is a JOURNAL not a diary. But when I go to third period tomorrow I gonna be extra carful to not write in it while he's looking. Last year I made sure not to have my diary at school because I didn't want anyone seeing it and making me the laughing stalk of the school. I don't know why I didn't do that this year. I really don't need Trevor to get ahold of my journal because I really don't need any more embarrassing stuff about me getting around the school. Last week Rowley asked me if I could hold his Joshie biography book while he goes to the bathroom and I said yes only because he loaned me a dollar for a candy bar from the vending machine. Well when someone saw me with that book I almost dropped the it and made a run for it. But then I thought about Rowley and him loaning me money so I just waited until Rowley finished going to the bathroom and handed him the book back. So now Im staying on the down low.

Now that I think about it my summer wasn't all that great either. Dad sent me to this summer camp to toughen me up but this was no ordinary summer camp because you have to wake up at 6:00 every morning and do sit ups even on the WEEKENDS. I was there for about three weeks till I decided to make a run for it. I ended up at grandma's house and thank god she was on vacation in Hawaii. But a week later she came back and ratted me out to mom and dad. And guess what dad made me do. Wake up at 5:00 and do sit ups after that. So I kinda has it better at camp.

SATURDAY

We went to the pet store today and got a cat. I guess I'm kinda happy mom says I get to name him. But if this ends up like the whole Sweety situation then I'm not gonna be happy. I told mom I'm naming the cat after one of the dragons in my video game but mom didn't like that name. Then Manny said we should call it Manny which I think is a stupid idea because it would get confusing and cats not even a boy but of coarse Manny has to get his way. I figured at least we could call it Manny 2.0 so we don't get confused but Manny didn't like that. But nobody says I cant write it that way. And of coarse the cat has to sleep in my room.

SUNDAY

Manny 2.0 kept me up all night. So I slept in but dad woke me up at 10:00 and now I basically up for the day. Manny has this new friend named Robert from his preschool and mom let him come over . But when I asked mom if Rowley could over she said she didn't want anybody here today because she was busy. The thing is that Robert is only 2 and Manny is 5 because the preschool accepts kids of all ages.

There's gonna be a fair in the park in March and anyone can get a stand as long as they do the building so I signed Rowley and me up. I'm not gonna do any actual building I'm just gonna borrow Rowley's tent and just use that. I figured we could have games and stuff to sell. I don't have much stuff though. But it is a couple months away so I'm not too worried.

SEPTEMBER

It's already September which means I survived the first 2 weeks of school but It hasn't been easy. In algebra today the teacher said were doing a "fun" math project were we have to create a poster with a bunch of math stuff on it and the best poster will win a prize. But I'm not very confident we're gonna win because I got paired up with Trevor and I usually let my partner do all the work.
