"2015 Jeané Sashi"

This is a place I really don't want to be. How could I have let this happen? Twenty-five to life; that Judge was not playing; all because my temper had got the best of me, but then again, dude jumped on me. Now, look at me, I'm sitting here in this damn hell hole. Terrell said as he talked to himself.

As he sat in his cell and listened to all the comradery from the other cells, Terrell was pissed at what had happened to him. He had only been in the County Jail for a short time but it felt like a life-time. He couldn't even hear himself think half of the time. And the food, it was not fit for human consumption.

Man, I had no intention of being a part of the rainbow coalition we called jail. Who was it that said collateral damage is like jail; there's always room for more? I don't like being a part of this damn more. And to top it all off, my girl is pregnant. Damn! I'm going take advantage of some counseling while I do this time. I've got to get a handle on my temper. In the meantime, my attorney said she is going appeal this case. I won't hold my breath but, I

hope she does. While the appeal is going on, I'm here in this County Jail. Terrell said himself.

Terrell was deep in thought and didn't hear his cell door open which snapped him back him out of his thoughts. He was getting a new cell mate.

What's up man? Kevin entered the cell with his county jail house belongings that was issued to him. I guess I'm your new celly. I'm not looking to be here long. It looks like I have the top bunk. Kevin gestured with a head nod towards the top bunk.

Yeah, the top bunk is all yours. How long you got? Terrell inquired.

Hopefully I'll be out of here this week. My attorney is working on this shit. Kevin replied.

A case is not a good thing to have when you're trying to start over with your life. My girl and I came out here to Cali with new jobs as a couple, and to have some fun and this shit happened. Kevin shook his head in disgust. My girl is all worried and we just bought a new house here in L.A.

Damn man, sounds like you had it going on and got caught up. That's not cool. Terrell commented.

Yeah, but I have a damn good attorney, so I'm

looking to being the fuck out of here like yesterday. Why is it that some people just want to take the chance to try and ice skate uphill? I just don't get it. Kevin said with as he was stood with both of his arms rested on the top bunk as he leaned against it.

I know what you mean, man. My temper made me check this fool and that's how I landed here. I have to get my temper in check. Terrell responded as he looked out of the small window.

You have a temper too? I guess we both could use some anger management. Kevin laughed

Yeah, my anger made me crack this dude's skull. Split his head wide open. I'm looking at twenty-five man. I hope my attorney is as good as you say yours is. She seems cool, though. And she knows her shit. Terrell disclosing a little of the reason he was in the County Jail.

Good luck to you man. That's some time you're facing, stated Kevin.

Tell me about it, responded Terrell.

The clatter of keys sounded in the corridor, close to the cell where Terrell was housed. Someone is getting out, I guess. I wish it were me, Terrell said.

Stokes, the guards voice was sharp and demanding as he unlocked the cell door. Come with me, the Superintendent wants to see you. Get all of your belongings.

Kevin wondered what going on and looked back at Terrell. Terrell shrugged his shoulders; his expression read as clueless.

What's going on? Why does the Superintendent want to see me? Kevin asked the guard.

What do I look like, Wikipedia? Just come on? responded the guard.

Rude muthafucka. Kevin gathered his county-issued belongings.

When Kevin arrived at the Superintendent's office, his handcuffs were removed. Besides the Superintendent, Tonju Lowe, Mr. Greer, and a man he did not recognize were also in the office.
