Ron

We all were inside the dinning hall for study hall when I glanced over at Percy. He was sitting crisscross apple sauce on the bench staring at nothing. Absentmindedly petting his cat, Sally, with a pair of muggle headphones in his ears.

His work was finished in front of him and another muggle device on top of it. The headphones were connected to it, but it was different than the usual muggle devices I saw Harry with.

It was a small box with a picture of an apple on the back of it. The whole thing was white with his name in gold engraved into it. The top lit up and a picture appeared. The words over the time said,"Supermarket Flowers."

Suddenly the vertical line that was at one end of the horizontal line appeared on the other side, moving towards where it was before. I was confused, but Percy didn't react, besides the small tear that ran down his face. I don't think he noticed as he continued to stare at nothing.

"Percy?" Hermione's voice broke in,"Hey? Are you okay?"

Percy stayed still. His hand continued to stroke his companion who purred in content. I frowned and waved my hand in front of his blank face. Still no reaction. I looked warily at Harry who was studying Percy.

"Maybe we should get one of his cousins?" He suggested helpfully.

"What's wrong with the bloke?" Seamus asked concerned as he passed us.

"I don't know." Hermione admitted worriedly, biting her lip.

"It's okay, Miss Granger." Professor Sunday interrupted,"We do."

We all looked up. Both of Percy's cousins were standing behind him, careful not to touch him. They had easy going expressions on their faces so I wasn't too concerned anymore. If they were okay, then everything was good.

"I'll take him back to our room, and let him get some sleep." Professor Roece announced.

With that said, the man gathered up Percy's stuff in his bag. He threw Percy's robe over his shoulder and stuffed the box with an apple on it into his cousin's pocket. The professor carefully maneuvered Percy's bag over his other shoulder, and persuaded Percy to stand.

Sally hopped into Percy's waiting arms, meowing happily. Percy mechanically caressed her fur, and was guided out of the room by Professor Roece. Once they were out of sight, Professor Sunday unexpectedly sat down with us.

By now it was just Hermione, Harry, and I. I was confused to why Percy's cousin decided to join us. We didn't have any food and Percy was gone. I couldn't think of another reason to why Professor Sunday would sit with us willingly.

"You all know Percy lost a couple people important to him this past year, right?" He started, we all nodded in agreement.

"His mom right?" Harry asked, testing the waters.

Professor Sunday nodded,"And his family and girlfriend."

"How'd they die?" Hermione questioned the man, a melancholy expression etched across her face.

He pursed his lips,"His mother was diagnosed with cancer when Percy was out of the country. Percy's stepfather was bringing her to the hospital to be treated, and they got hit by a teen who was texting and driving. They didn't survive."

"What's the box have to do with this?" I blurted out, confused.

The professor's electric blue eyes stared into mine observing me,"The music reminded him of his deceased."

I was confused and about to say something else when Hermione stepped on my foot under the table. I let out a yelp, and brought my foot to my hand to massage it.

"Ow, 'Mione!" I protested,"What was that for?"

She rolled her eyes,"Honestly, Ron. Do you not understand what's happening here?"

I glared at her,"Not with you constantly maiming my bloody body."

"I only did it once." She huffed.

The sound of the professor clearing his throat amusedly interrupted us,"What fun activities do you do here? Hogsmeade was kind of a fail last time, so what else is there that Percy can waste his time in?"

"Well..." Harry began thoughtfully,"He can join the Quidditch team. You got him a broom after all. The season begins in November, and tryouts for Slytherins are later this week so they can start practicing a month before."

Professor Sunday nodded along thoughtfully,"I'll talk to Percy about it, and Severus of course. What positions are there?"

"I'm the keeper this year!" I announced proudly.

Harry grinned at me,"Yeah, Ron did great at tryouts! We have three chasers, Katie Bell, Demelza Robins, and Ginny Weasley, Ron's sister. The two beaters are Jimmy Peakes and Ritchie Coote, and I'm the seeker."

"Sweet." the Professor complemented,"What about Slytherin?"

"I'm pretty sure Vaisey will replace Adrian Pucey as a Chaser, and Urquhart will replace Montague as both a Chaser and Captain." Harry predicted,"Malfoy is the seeker, but there's rumor that Harper might be his substitute, with pay. Crabbe and Goyle are beaters, and I think Blaise is the other chaser."

"You cannot possible believe all that is going to happen." Hermione said, ruining the awesome moment.

"You can!" I argued,"I believe it!"

"What about the keeper for the Slytherins?" Professor Sunday cut in, holding back a laugh.

Harry and I shared a look before synchronizing,"I don't know."

The professor winked playfully at us,"Keeper it is then."

Harry leaned forward excitedly,"Does he know how to play?"

The blonde man shrugged,"Percy mentioned it to me awhile ago. He said his mom was a chaser for a couple years before she stopped playing."

"That's so cool!" I exclaimed.

"I'm guessing he knows the rules and how it goes, but I don't think he's ever been on a broom and stuff." Professor stated, before grinning,"I can't wait to see him in the air."

"Why?" Hermione tilted her head curiously,"Do you think he'll be good?"

The professor shook his head laughing,"Nah, he has this thing with heights..."
