Chapter 25: The Bells

(Hey everyone, sorry for the late update, things have been crazy, and right now, I'm extremely tired, want chocolate and pineapple, and my kitty to sit on me and be my heating pack! AAAAAAAAAH Also bruised my tailbone so that's fun XD)

September 16th, 2019

Melody jumped around excitedly. Today was the day she'd have a new mom! She wore a light green dress with white lacing and trims. Her milk chocolate colored hair was curled into large tendrils. She had but little makeup on, a winged eye shadow with a jewel on each end. She wore a yellow butterfly necklace and tan ankle boots.

"Melody, sit down!" Katelyn chuckled.

Melody sat in her chair restlessly. When Katelyn left to go keep Travis in order, she took a peek into Aphmau's room. She gasped quietly.

Aphmau was wearing a long, trailing white dress. Her black-blue hair was curled into tendrils, and a braid wrapped around from each side of her head to the back, creating a crown braid. She wore winged eyeliner and natural eye shadow around her eyes. Her lips had a soft pink lip stain on them. A jewel rested on each tip of her eye shadow wings. There was a happy sparkle in her eyes.

Eyes of which caught Melody. She gasped and giggled, trying to get away. Aphmau hugged her and laughed. "Hey cutie pie! Are you ready?"

"Am I ready? You're the one getting married!" She giggled.

Aphmau smiled. "But you're my flower girl!"

Melody smiled. "Is it time yet?"

"I believe so." She hummed a bit and smiled. "Come on!" She took her hand and they went over to the doors. Melody grabbed her basket of flower petals and Aphmau her bouquet. The doors opened and Melody tossed the petals as she walked, Aphmau following.

Time seemed to go by slowly. Agonizingly slowly. The preacher spent a good forty five minutes on stories before getting onto the vows, which ended with an excited Aphmau kissing Zane, making everyone laugh a bit, and then they exploded into applause. Zane swept his bride off her feet, and took her to the limousine, sitting in the back with her. Melody waved at them as they went off to the wedding reception. 

"Come on, bug!" Gene picked Melody up and squeezed her. She laughed, squirming.

"Gene!" She laughed. "Put me down!"

"But you're such a cute potato!" He chuckled. She puffed out her cheeks but then laughed.

"That's Dad's nickname for Mom!" She protested.

"Well you're just like her!" He smiled.

"Aww, Gene!" She hugged him. He chuckled, kissing her forehead and putting her down on the ground.

"C'mon, let's get to that after party!"

She laughed, and they headed to the after party. There was a dance floor, tables, food, decor, everything. Dante was the Dj, and he was a good one, that's for sure. Melody had a lot of fun: Levin, Kyle, and Alexis were there. They had turns daring each other to try the caffeinated drinks, mainly to see their facial reactions. Melody quite liked the Poopsie. It was sweet.

Dante soon turned on a slow song. Melody blushed lightly as she locked eyes with Levin as he made his way to her. He held out a hand, also lightly blushing. 

"May I have this dance?" He asked.

"Yes, you may." Melody giggled, putting her hand in his.

She blushed as he pulled her onto the dance floor, putting his hand on the small of her back. She put her hand on his shoulder. She looked up into his dazzling blue eyes. They made her blush more. Her heart was fluttering fast, like a butterfly's wings. They'd both taken a dance class, ballroom to be specific, and he swept her across the floor, not breaking eye contact once. Melody was lost in everything: The music, the dancing, his eyes...

"Melody?"

"Y-yes?"

Levin blushed more. "It's taken a lot to be able to tell you this...but, I really like you...really, really like you..." 

Melody blushed more, if possible. "I-I do too."

"R-really?"

She laughed a bit and nodded. He picked her up by her waist and spun her, making her laugh more. As soon as she landed on the ground, their lips connected for a brief, sweet moment. That moment slowed down for Melody. Her cheeks heated, her heart lept. His lips were so soft, and the kiss so blissful and gentle.

As time came back to normal, they gazed into eachother's eyes. It was magical. The dance finished, and at the end of the evening, Melody went home with Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan, changing into her pj's, and lying down in their spare bedroom. She smiled as she fell asleep. Today was the best day ever.
