SINKING SHIP

A blank stare-a smirk-a smile.
A worthless feeling turned to vile.
This feeling of anger so hidden inside,
Will start afresh a whole new life.
Though some of it will stay the same,
The same old news, the same old shame.
The cutting out of my old dear flesh,
Feeling the sting yet no regrets.
Every drop that drips with emotion,
It's almost a disease, almost a potion.
How does one pain stop another?
It leaves me numb, I shake and shudder.
But the deep red liquid gliding down...
Is deep enough to make your soul drown.
In effortless hope I am now too far...
Look at me, look at my scars.
But I am a ship about to sink,
So before you talk, maybe you should think.
That your words affect me,
Just as mine affect you...
We're all human, so why are we so cruel???
