Chapter 6-birthday date

I looked up at Aaron and notice that he was gazing directly into my eyes I blushed a little and heard his parents sigh and tell us to have fun and be back before 10, the time the gathering starts at.

He strode over to me and had a huge smile on his face as though seeing me made his day. He took my hand in his large one and kissed my forehead before whispering in my ear "you look beautiful tonight"

"And you look not to bad yourself" I replied coyly. I returned his smile and together we said goodbyes to his parents before going outside to his car. and boy was I impressed it was a black SUV. I suspected that he was more of the functional car type of person than a guy who would choose a sports car it made sense since we lived in a town surrounded by forests and winding roads so an off road vehicle was a must.

"Where are we going?" I asked curiously

"It's a surprise" he answered mysteriously.

The rest of the journey consisted of comfortable silence.

We had been driving for about 10 minutes when Aaron pulled up at the side of the road on a grass area. he got out of the car and came around to my side and opened the door for me, as I got out he placed a hand on my waist and pulled me into his chest, he kissed me on the lips briefly and shut my door for me.

"We are walking the rest of the way" he said then lead me into the Forrest, I wasn't scared or anything even though it was pitch black I knew that I had my mate to protect me and I felt that I was at home where ever he was, I belonged.

I almost forgot that he could read my thoughts until I saw his smile and I couldn't help but return it.

"Okay, I'm going to shift now so we can get there quicker now when I shift don't be scared but my wolf may be a bit over excited because he want you to see him" he said then started to strip, I was embarrassed so I turned around to give him privacy and prevent any inappropriate thoughts.

I felt the ground shake a little then I heard a whine, I turned around slowly and saw the biggest wolf I have ever seen, Aaron was the same height as my shoulder, no joke he still had his coffee coloured eyes that made him look like a teddy bear, my teddy bear and his fur was thick, black and glossy.

He must have heard my thoughts because the next minute Aaron was rubbing his big head into my shoulder affectionately like a big overgrown puppy.

I rubbed behind his ear and I swear he moaned, is that possible?

He was feeling playful because he was suddenly wagging his tail and jumping all over the place he ended up with his wolf but in the air while his front legs were on the ground ( A/N: kind of like downward dog , the yoga pose).

He tipped and pawed his way toward me, he looked so damn cute while doing that, I giggled before leaning down to wrap my arms around his neck and give him and hug.

He stood up to full heigh and motioned me to sit on his back, using head movements and stamping his paws.

I got on his back when he lowered his body as he was too tall otherwise. I gently grasped the fur around his neck and leaned on his back which my legs wrapped around him.

He started to run and it felt amazing to have the wind blowing through my hair and being this high I could see the forest from a different viewpoint.

Eventually Aaron came to a stop and lowered his body so I could climb off him, though he seemed to do rather reluctantly, as soon as I got off he started to walk forewords making sure I was right beside him the whole time, he would occasionally lick my arm or neck lovingly which made my insides melt.

When the trees started to thin out I noticed that we were nearing a clearing, it was lit by candles and there was a stream running through it. Beside the stream there was a blanket and a picnic basket, Aaron nudged me forewords by pushing my back gently with his head, I sat down on the black picnic basket and noticed that it was covered in cushions and blankets, so I wouldn't get cold I presume. I was rather chilly so I wrapped myself up in a blanket and frowned when I noticed that Aaron was gone.

He next thing I know Aaron was in front of me dressed in different clothing consisting of dark wash jeans, a white shirt, grey converse and a leather jacket.

"I left clothes here earlier, when I was setting it up" he told me while opening the basket, he pulled out breadsticks and a pasta dish. I smiled at him when he pulled out two wine classes followed by a fancy glass bottle of fresh apple juice.

He laughed along with me and served the food, we ate and just enjoyed each other's company.

When we finished eating he arranged the pillows into a semi circle,before adding the blankets he lay die band motioned for me to join him. I got up and walked over to him keeping the blanket around me and plopped down next to him. he pulled me close to him so i was practically lying on him before pulling the covers over us. his body heat made me comfortable and warm. I laid my head on his chest and my arm around his waist, I sighed in content.

He nudged me and told me to look up.

The view was amazing I could see stars clearly and couldn't help but think how amazing my first date has been he wrapped his arms around me and held me close, both laying there not saying anything as the silence was comfortable neither if us had to say anything to express how we felt

"Will you be my girlfriend" he asked breaking the silence.

"Of course I want to be your girlfriend" I replied with a loving tone in my voice

"I know we are mates in all but I just realised that I hadn't asked you yet" he said sheepishly

"It's okay I know what we have is more meaningful but it feels good to call you my boyfriend,I love you" I said while gazing up at him

"I love you too, happy birthday baby" he said lovingly before crashing his lips to mine a passionate kiss under the stars in a field full if candles

How much more romantic can it get? I thought to myself while enjoying the moment with my boyfriend, my mate
