AN: Hi everyone, and thank you for checking out this fic. I hope you all enjoy it! ANNNNND enjoy a song that I thought Keith would listen to, lol. Maybe it's his theme song...oh no, I made myself sad.
Keith's POV:
The black haired teen walked down a plainly decorated hallway, two bags in hand. He hadn't brought much with him, not wanting to have clutter around his new room. The college student had brought the mere necessities, clothes, money, a bed set, toothbrush and toothpaste, shoes, and his laptop; that was pretty much it besides the phone in his pocket and the earbuds that were blasting music into his hears at an unhealthy volume.
The teen was wearing a red flannel shirt around his waist, having taken it off and tying it there as he entered the building. He was wearing black skinny jeans with little rips in them, and a loose dark grey tee shirt, clearly advertising his choice in style. Along with his black mullet, the red beanie he was wearing, the several ear piercings, and a pair of black rimmed eyeglasses, it was obvious the teen was "somewhat" emo. Although...he would never admit it if someone said it to his face.
The college student walked into the elevator, pressing the number five, grateful that no one was in there with him. In all honesty, the teen didn't like people, or moreso he didn't feel comfortable around them. Due to this, most people got the impression that he was unfriendly, when really he was just shy in social situations. While waiting for the elevator to arrive at floor five, the black haired male tapped his foot, waiting patiently for the elevator to ding.
When it did so, he walked out of the elevator bags in hand, walking towards room 108. Then, setting his bags down the teen pulled his earbuds out, hanging them around his neck as he turned the music off on his phone. Cautiously the male pulled out his room key, which he had attached to his keychain where his house keys, car keys, and mailbox key hung together; opening the door to his new room, and new life. The teen was secretly nervous about this, praying on the inside that whoever his roommate was, that they were relatively nice, and not very annoying. And that they had a sense of personal space, like...a really good sense of personal space.
Opening the door, the first thing the black haired teen sees is a kitchen, decorated with homey looking paintings, and the usual kitchen items. There are a few family pictures hung about, of a rather large group of people, all looking cheery, and very close. He spent a moment staring at one of them, a picture of the whole family grouped together in front of a cozy looking yellow house, all of them were wearing similarly colored outfits. The teen looked at each individual person's face closely, trying to guess which of them was his roommate.
It is now that said teenager, heard an energetic voice behind him.
"Oh- hi! You must be my roommate." The black haired male turned around quickly, his eyes settling upon a cheery boy with blue eyes.
The teen was taller than him by a few inches, with messy looking brown hair, that looked strangely soft. The boy had pretty tan skin, and a narrow face, with freckles dusting over his cheeks and nose. He was tall and skinny, looking very similar to a string bean of some sort, his arms and legs long and thin like the rest of him. He was wearing a plain baby blue tee shirt, with a pair of denim jeans, the outfit was simple, yet strangely fitting.
The teen smiled down at the black haired male, his eyes glowing with excitement. He could be checked off as a nice person, the shorter male decided.
"Yeah." The teen responded, his voice quiet. "I'm Keith." Keith stuck his hand out for the brown haired teen to shake, looking up and meeting the teens deep blue eyes, with the best smile he could manage; which ended up being more of a tiny almost uncomfortable, smirk.
"Nice to meet you, Keith. I'm Lance." The brown haired boy grinned, reaching out and shaking Keith's hand. His hand noticeably larger than the other teens, his long tan fingers wrapping around Keith's shorter pale ones.
Lance's POV:
A brown haired teen sat in the livingroom of his dorm room, waiting patiently for his new roommate to arrive. The teen was silently hoping that his roommate would be equally as excited to meet him, as he was. And also that the teen wouldn't mind how talkative he was. The boy tended to talk a lot, about really random things, it wasn't really his fault since he had ADHD. It wasn't as extreme as it could be, since most people with extreme ADHD tended to have random mood swings etc, which he usually didn't.
The brown haired male usually only suffered from a lack of attention span, a high amount of energy, fidgeting, and being easily excitable. This usually annoyed the people he encountered, but the teen refused to take meds. Since his ADHD wasn't too severe, he decided that he didn't need to take medication, and that if people couldn't deal with who he was, then they weren't the kind of person he should befriend.
He waited a few more minutes, twiddling his thumbs as his foot tapped. He was really bored, but wasn't ready to admit it, and knew that once his roommate arrived he would have someone to talk to. Usually the teen spoke to his pets, or his siblings. But since neither of them could be here, he hadn't had anyone to talk to for a while, except when he video called his family who lived in Arizona.
When the brown haired male heard the door to his dorm room begin to unlock, he stood up quickly. An excited smile on his face, he watched as the door opened, seeing a black haired boy, wearing mainly dark colors enter the dwelling. This person was far from what the brown haired male had expected. They seemed very calm, and almost unenthusiastic about life. Like they were only living because they had to, not because they wanted to.
The teen was shorter than the brown haired boy, wearing a red flannel, grey tee shirt, ripped black skinny jeans, some red converse (forgot about those lol), a pair of black framed glasses, and a red hoodie. Despite the teens threatening outward appearance, the brown haired male couldn't help but think that he was kind of cute. The brown haired teen noticed that the boy was looking at family photos, his eyes full of questioning. The taller male smiled brightly, calling out to the black haired male.
"Oh- hi!" You must be my roommate." The black haired boy turned around, his eyes widening slightly as he studied the taller teen.
The boy smiled a little, reaching out for a handshake. "Yeah." His voice was quiet, and tired sounding. The brown haired boy's eyes spotted the white earbuds resting around the black haired teen's neck. Realizing he was getting off focus, the brown haired teen returned his gaze to his new roommate's eyes. They were a deep shade of amethyst, with some grey mixed in, and looked like the night sky.
"Nice to meet you, Keith. I'm Lance." The brown haired boy spoke with a grin, taking Keith's smaller hand in his own, shaking it firmly.
AN: That's it for now, hopefully that was a good start to the story. Thank you all for reading this far, I will try to update tomorrow. Love you guys!
