The boys played the last show of the English leg of their tour a couple of days ago. I hadn't attended any more of the shows, partly due to my tension with Niall and partly because I was scared Harry might pull a stupid stunt again.
The boys had already been out to celebrate together, but tonight Zayn and Lucy were going out to a club and I'd been invited along. Niall was over with his family in Ireland, having gone over early for Christmas. He was supposed to stay in London longer but he said he wanted some space to "think things over." And allow me to do the same. I initially didn't want to go out with Lucy and Zayn, not wanting to be the third wheel but she assured me there would be someone there to keep me company and now Liam, Louis, Beth and Rosie had been invited along as well.
I rummaged around in my wardrobe until I found something club appropriate. A black bodycon dress with lace down the middle. It was revealing, yes, and to be worn without a bra but tonight I didn't care, although childish I wanted to spite Niall. I knew if he saw pictures of me tonight, which undoubtably he would, he would be pissed off. Knowing exactly what men are like in clubs.
I grabbed my highest black heels and stuffed my essentials into a burgundy clutch. My hair was loosely curled and make up quickly applied. Exiting the door Lucy and Zayn were waiting on the sofa. Both of their heads turned when I walked in.
"Holy shit Ella! You look so hot!" Lucy gushed. Zayn nodded in agreement not so subtly checking me out, only to receive a slap and glare from Lucy.
I giggled opening the front door and leading the way into the elevator. We were meeting the others at the club. I'd heard it's one of the best in London. Known for drawing in the rich and famous.
We entered the taxi and I noticed Lucy and Zayn's linked hands and loving gazes towards each other. I gulped back my jealously, only wishing I could be as happy. Lucy had told me I could if I just let myself leave Niall and be with Harry. But how could I? I'm just not that girl who can go from one guy to the next, especially not when they're bandmates, even if I was hopelessly in love with one of them.
About to join the back of the queue outside the club, Zayn chuckled and nudged me forward to the front of the line, the bouncer gesturing for us to enter. Groans were heard among the people shivering in the cold London night but we ignored them, heading straight for the bar. Being friends with A-listers definitely had it's perks, something I was going to have to get used to.
Apparently we had the VIP section virtually to ourselves, but what was the fun in that? I thought, heading straight to the bar. I ordered a Daiquiri, while Zayn ordered a row of shots for everyone.
Lucy leading the way over the where the others were supposedly seated, me following and Zayn carefully balancing the tray of liquor behind us.
I rolled my eyes once in the VIP area. I wasn't surprised at all to see Harry setting placidly on the cream leather couch. Of course he was the one invited to "keep me company".
He hastily rose from his seat and kissed Lucy on the cheek, gave Zayn a manly embrace and gently wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me into his strong torso. I nuzzled into the warmth of his chest and couldn't help but inhale the scent of his expensive cologne lingering on his crisp grey dress shirt.
"Beautiful as always." He whispered throatily, more to himself than me.
I took my eyes of him reluctantly, peering around I noticed Liam approaching, greeting me with a peck on the cheeks, as did Louis.
I nervously smiled at Beth and Rosie, as they also came forward and kissed me on both cheeks. I didn't know the two gorgeous girls well, but they both seemed absolutely lovely and I was looking forward to getting to know them better. Louis had definitely taken a liking to Beth, as did Liam with Rosie. The only difference being Liam and Rosie weren't making out heavily against the cold leather of the couches.
Harry's arm wrapped around my waist as we faced the rest of the group. Anyone would mistake us as boyfriend and girlfriend from the way we were standing.
"You're dress is incredible Ella." Rosie complimented sweetly.
"Thanks." I smiled. "I love your's too." I returned, admiring the cute velvet looking dress she wore.
"Thank you!" She gushed. "I only wish I had a body like yours to pull it off!"
"Don't be silly!" I exclaimed. "You're absolutely stunning!"
Liam nodded in agreement.
"Do you wanna dance." Harry whispered in my ear, his peppermint breath hitting my face gently, softly tracing patterns on my hipbone as he awaited a response.
Harry was touching me in a way someone with a boyfriend shouldn't be touched, but it felt so right, and I couldn't bring myself to tell him to stop. I bit my lip before nodding.
Harry lead me out onto the dance floor, but little dancing seemed to happen, instead we stood in the middle of the floor, awkwardly bobbing to the music. Everyone else was grinding, but that wasn't really an option for the two of us.
"We really need to talk about the other day." I shouted over the heavy bass.
"You mean when you kissed me?" Harry smirked with a quirked eyebrow.
"What! I did not kiss you! You kissed me!" I screeched.
"If I'm not mistaken you forced your lips onto mine." Harry said matter of factly.
"Well, whatever it meant nothing, let's pretend it never happened." I stated somewhat regretfully.
Harry expression transferred from amused to hurt in an instant.
"Nothing, it meant nothing." He clarified.
I sighed but plucked up the courage to nod half heartedly.
"Sure, er, yeah, I'm gonna." Harry gestured behind him to nowhere in particular, clearly wanting to just get away from me.
He nodded before stalking through the crowd. I sighed retreating to a dark, abandoned corner and slumping against the wall, exhaling deeply as I tried to process what I'd just done. Surely it was the right thing to do, but it felt wrong. I was finally being handed a chance to be honest about my feelings and I abused the opportunity.

"I don't mean to sound rude, but weren't you with Niall last time I saw you?" Beth inquired. "Shit, sorry, that wasn't meant to sound as offense as it did!" She panicked but I interiupted her with a laugh.
"It's ok, I know what you meant." I assured her. Her face instantly relaxed and she sighed in relief.
"I am, as far as I know, Harry's just a really good friend." I nodded, not only wanting to convince Beth but also myself that that were true.
