Being traumatized for life
is like being locked up in a box
buried alive beneath the earth
out of sight and out of mind
slowly decaying one year at a time
It suffocates you slowly
pressing down on your chest
like the weight of the world is crushing you
but you never run out of air
it just keeps getting harder and harder to breath
All you can do is keep calling for help
demanding to be seen
but no matter how hard you scream
no matter how hard you cry
no matter how much you beg for mercy
no one can hear you
Shout until your lungs hurt
keep scratching your way out of the coffin
fight even when you're ready to give it all up
don't succumb to your inner turmoil
someday, somewhere
someone or something will find you
