" hello, welcome to Coffee Express " a woman walked through the door, with a professional suit stoping to look at the menu.

Small chatter and laughing greeted the small vintage coffee shop, not many people occupied the tables, Considering it is a Monday and it usually get packed on weekends.

" hi, I would like a small white mocha latte" the lady ask politely walking up to the counter.

Handing me the money I typed in her order and gave her back her change. She stood to the side while my co-worker made her drink.

Her eyes brows scrunched together like she was thinking really hard.

" you okay ma'am " her tired grey eyes meet my blue ones. and for a minute I felt like I knew her, something seemed so familiar about her but I couldn't quiet put my finger on it.

" yeah, I'm just tired with all the moving and settling in " giving me a small smile she takes a seat at the bar.

Her frizzy blonde hair flows down her back in soft curls. The heat from outside will do that to your hair, but at night it's gets colder than the desert.

" how our you liking it so far" I questioned

" I've actually lived here before, my son wanted to moved back and finish his last year of school in his home town "

She had a far away look in her eyes as she spoke, like she didn't want to come back. But it seemed like for her son she will do anything for him.

He's probably a spoiled teen.

" here's your drink " standing up she grabs her latte giving me a smile.

" it was nice talking to you " giving a wave she leaves out the glass doors heading into the rushing crowd of people.

" hey, you okay Millie " I tense at the hand on my shoulder.

Looking at my co worker nick, my eyes travel to his hand on my shoulder. Taking the hint he quickly lifts his pale hands, scratching the back the of his neck.

" sorry, just seeing if your okay " he says sincerely.

Letting out a sigh I give him a small smile " I'm fine, just tired is all "

I lie not caring if he believes me or not, he nods his head lightly turning around and going to the back.

Feeling the wind feather my face I look up to see someone walking through the door.

I do my greeting putting on my fake smile, while they look at the board figuring out what to order. Patiently waiting, looking outside at the sun still set high in the air.

The cars honk their horns and people rush by trying to get out of the traffic.

Rusher hour traffic causes the most accident, seeming as everyone gets off work and is trying to get home to their family.

The customer finally order, steeping to the side. The day drags by slow as the sun starts to hide behind the buildings casting a light pink and yellow glow.

Customers run in and out, while I start cleaning up getting ready to close. Nick didn't bother starting up any more conversations after earlier, which I was thankful for not really wanting to talk.

That lady was on my mind replying in my head. Her grey eyes, looked so familiar, that I wondered if she knew who i was.

It also made me think that her son must be the new boy that everyone was talking about today. We rarely don't get new people, but he technically isn't knew if he lived here before.
