Ida POV

We were camped out on top of a hollowed out hill looking over the facility Jack called a " Preserve ".
I sat in and folding chair in front of the fire while Mordecai shot stalkers getting too close. It was pass midnight and I still have not slept, which is bad if me and Mordecai are going to map out the place. I took a swig of rakk ale and headed toward the edge of the cliff. As I got closer to the edge I realized how big this place is, there could be a thousand loaders. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to find Mordecai setting his rifle down,
" Do you think we could do it," he looked at me from the side of his vision.
" I think we can but the new vault hunters could help," I nodded and continued to look at the facility.
" I know it's tough Mordecai but we will save her," he turned to look at me, puting his goggles on his head I could see his eyes start to water. I pulled him into a hug, him being way taller than me. He put his chin on top of my head, i could hear his silent crys. All I can do is be here for him, and be on the front lines when we get her.

Mordecai POV

The next couple of days were spent planning, mapping out the place and getting geared up. The vault hunters arrived at night, the clouds covering the sky. We planned for me to provide support and have Ida lead the vault hunters. I didnt want to put her in harm's way, but she wanted to do it.

Ida POV

We have been going through the facility for hours, after finding that Bloodwing had been moved to the observation wing. We found an elevator that lead to a arena of sorts.
" Want Bloodwing back, huh? Shame -- I’ve been doing some really interesting Eridium experiments with her. Hate to see her go, but heck with it,
She’s all yours," the panel on the floor rises up to show a giant Bloodwing. Oh no, we start to shot when Mordecai says just to weaken her.
" Just give it up, kiddo. Bloodwing’s got ALL the elements at her disposal! Slag! Fire! Electricity! Corrosion! And...and, uh...damn, I forgot the last one. What was it, again?" I sent the vault hunters to take care of the skags while I weakened Bloodwing, she moved to her platform and Jack said
" Fire!" And the she turned into fire. This was going to be hard.
" Fire...what else is there? "
Jack was trying to get to us by talking, to throw us off. She moved to the platform again only to have Jack scream,
" Electricity!" She was now a flying ball of electricity, Shocking me now and again.
"Electricity...slag, fire, corrosion's coming up next -- what am I forgetting?" I was getting worried, what was he forgetting.
" Corrosion!" She spit corrosive spit at me that burned my upper arms and my stomache, I was heavily bleeding.
"Corrosion...yeah, I remember that one -- come on, what's left?" I could see that she was becoming weak.
" Slag!" I used the last ammo in my guns to weaken her and it worked, Mordecai then shot her with a tranquilizer and she was out. The vault hunters got the clap-trap upgrade and started to to walk out.
"Oh, now I remember! EXPLOSIIIIIIVE!" Just then Bloodwings face blew up and blood went all over my legs. Mordecai screamed through the echo.
"That is why you don’t screw with me. You give up, you turn yourself in, or that dumbass bird is just the beginning." I fell to my knees and looked at her body, I should have known, I should have ripped that collar off of her. The vault hunters came back and Axton had to carry me since I wouldn't stand. I was in a state of shock. They took me back to Mordecai's camp and left us alone. I ran into his arms and cried with him, the pain we felt for a lost friend was terrible. We spent the night hugging each other and wishing we would have stayed behind with her.
