Pipers P.O.V.
It was a normal day at camp. There were only a few injuries today, but fewer than usual. I was sitting with Annabeth as we sat on top of Athena cabin, observing all the newly campers and old ones we've known for a long time. We are 17 years old and nothing's changed since the war with Gaea.
Now it was over, but I felt like it shouldn't have been the end. I mean, it's not really 'the end' of the world and stuff, but the end of the seven. No more BIG adventures, just small little ones like rescuing newly demigods or killing monsters. Summer was almost over, which meant the long trip was coming up.
My dad, Tristan McLean got another big part for a movie roll, meaning I would have to go with him across the world. The seven, including me were planning on having a nice back to school get together, till my dad got the call. I was really bummed, especially because I was going to spend a whole year with my boyfriend Jason.
We had been planning for months about going to Goode High School, where Percy asked his step-father Paul Blofis to accept us into his school. He was definitely skeptical about Leo, I mean who wouldn't. But he let EVERYONE, from seven in. Of course talking about this made me feel a little upset, especially since I was tough enough to battle a Goddess who literally is the earth, who was the first ever goddess.
As I laid back, I felt Annabeth looking at me. "What?" I asked blocking the sun from my eyes. "Its just, when we go to high school, you'll be away." Annabeth and me were so much older that when I looked in the mirror in the morning, I got scared and thought it was someone else. I ended up punching the mirror and having to deal with a wrapped hand for an entire 3 weeks.
Aphrodite cabin was so eager to give Annabeth a makeover that they practically asked Hermes cabin to help with their thieving style. But, Hermes cabin knew better than to fight with Annabeth. Considering that whole spider trick Connor and Travis Stoll played on her. They ended up with nose twists and head aches after the whole camp was awoken at 3 Am due to mild screaming found in Hermes cabin. Percy got in trouble, but Mr.D seemed impressed.
As Annabeth braided my hair into two parts, inspired with my curly hair I done today, a rock was tossed to us. "Who in Hades was that?!" I yelled. I looked over and sighed in relief, it was just Jason Grace. My blonde super man. "Looks like your prince is here." Annabeth said smirking. I hit her shoulder playfully and hopped off of Athena cabin, landing safely in Jason's arms.
Missed me?" I asked as he laughed. "Piper, I have something to ask." "I'm all ears." I added. "Will you join me tonight for a perfect picnic date, Ms.McLean?" He bowed like a prince. "Of course, Mr.Grace." We both laughed. "Then it's a date." "Great, see you then." As he left, Annabeth hung upside down from the top. "You and Jason have a date?" She said. "Yep." We screeched like Aphrodite girls, (my siblings).
Annabeth helped me with my wardrobe because Aphrodite cabin would've went all out. She gave me a pink crop top sweater with tiny spaghetti straps, ripped light blue jean shorts, converse and a grey long sweater that stopped below my knees. (Picture above) Annabeth didn't dare to touch the makeup, but curled my hair.
"All done." She said turning my chair to the mirror. Wow, for a non-Aphrodite child she did pretty good. "Thanks for helping me Annie." I said hugging her. "No problem pipes. Just remember, be polite, stand tall, and go get him girl!" I laughed and proceeded to my afternoon jobs. It wasn't long till I saw him, Jason. I was helping a few kids with their bow and arrow training.
"The trick is to take your time. Even when an enemy comes, you must have the best aim which will get you the first win." I aimed my arrow at the target dummy, and took a deep breath. "Hey beauty queen." Jason whispered into my ear, which sent a shock of electricity down my spine. I shot the arrow as it went straight through the middle.
"Nice shot my Queen." Jason said. "Jason! Let me- let me finish my class first!" I stammered, still trying to push the feeling of Jason's sweet voice away. He put his hands up in defeat, as I turned to the kids. After about ten minutes, the class finished as Jason picked me up and spun me around. "Now can we go?" He said with puppy dog eyes.
"Yes, NOW we can go." "Yay!" He said like a 5yr old who just found out he was going to a carnival. Jason took my hand and led me to the surprise place. As we stopped, my eyes widened. We sat by a beautiful glistening lake, as the sunset glowed bright orange and purple, just like the two camps.
Around the lake was sparkling pixies, all flying around. The flowers grew wildly, Demeter cabin must've helped. There was a hill where me and Jason sat, pulling the bag out. "Jason, how'd you do this all?" I asked. "Well I asked some nymphs to find some pixies for me, picked the brightest sunset day by asking my dad, and asked Demeter cabin for some help with the flowers." "Knew the last part!"
I said clapping my hands together. Jason laughed, and reached for a dandelion. He leaned in and put it in my hair. "There. A pretty flower for a pretty girl." I blushed. "Aphrodite must be proud of you now." "Well she must, because I took tips from her. I asked her for help and she visited me in my dreams. I could've asked your siblings but, they would've tortured you more with tips which you hate."
"Smartest. Choice. Ever. You know me soo well!" I kissed his cheek as he blushed. That's when I heard music. Beautiful violin and pipes were playing as I turned to see Grover Underwood with his girlfriend Juniper. "And I may have asked Percy for Grover." Jason said. I laughed.
"May I have this dance Madam?" He handed me his hand. I gladly took it as I wrapped my arms around his neck and he wrapped his around arms my waist. I placed my head on his shoulder, feeling so safe. I could see Leo, Percy, and Annabeth giving us a thumbs up. I smiled and waved to them, them now noticing me. "Kiss her already!" Leo interrupted.
But he was also interjecting with a punch to the shoulder by Annabeth. After the day, we thanked Grover and Juniper for the music as Jason carried me to my cabin bridal style. I was tired as I changed into other clothes and knocked out on my bed. I kissed Jason goodnight fast before the harpy's could see as he scrambled away, blowing me a kiss. I took it and saved it.
