I awoke to the sound of Aphrodite cabin screaming and running around. Today was the day of the wedding, which was BIG for Aphrodite cabin. Annabeth, Hazel, Rachel, Katie Gardner, Lacy, Clarisse, and Reyna all shuffled me into the changing room.
(The picture above is the wedding. The one on the very left is the wedding, the one next to it is the dinner table, then there's the bridesmaids dresses but they each have a color.
Annabeth: Grey
Hazel: Light purple
Clarisse: Red
Rachel: orange
Katie: green
Lacy: pink
Reyna: dark purple.
And of course the pictures at the bottom are pipers hair and dress:))As the girls lined up, everyone in position, I suddenly didn't feel well. I was sweating, knowing this was too fast. I took a seat, my head in my hands. "Everything okay Ms.McLean?" I lifted my head, to see the beautiful goddess standing there. "Mom?" I said hugging her tight.
"You're so beautiful! I can't believe this day has came!" Aphrodite screeched, dabbing her eyes with her napkin. I paced back and forth, feeling like crying. "Mom, this is going sooo fast. How? How did this all happen?!" I said almost having a panic attack.
Aphrodite put her hands on my shoulders. "Listen to me, Piper. There will be times, when you feel like you will never be able to achieve your job. But, you're wrong. You CAN do this. Take the first step, people will be there to help you. Just like how you and Jason will be there for each other when someone falls. They'll be there to catch you."
I felt a tear escape my eye, but of course it didn't ruin my makeup. Being the goddess of love and beauty after all. "I love you mom." I said. "I love you too." We hugged, when my dad walked into the room. "There you are. We were worried you ran!" My dad said. Aphrodite patted my shoulder.
"She's in good hands Tristan." She said. My dad smiled, and offered his elbow. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded, taking his arm. Aphrodite came with me, her glowing red dress dazzling everyone. The dress showed her curves, making everyone gush. Even Leo.
As the bridesmaids walked, I took a deep breath. Chiron looked at me as he stood by the doors opening to the wedding. "Ready Piper?" He asked. The old centaur showed wisdom in his eyes, smiling bright. I nodded. The doors opened, as everyone stood and saw me. I gulped, looking at the floor as I walked.
I had to face my fears. As people watched ME walk, and only ME, I felt the chills. That's when we turned, and I saw Jason. He stood there with a grey tux and dark blue tie. The men beside him: Percy, Leo, Frank, and Grover all wore the same except for their roses. Percy had blue of course, Leo had red, Frank green, and Grover orange.
As I walked closer and closer, my nerves washed away. Tristan handed my hand to Jason. "Take good care of her." Tristan said. Jason nodded, and I watched as Tristan stepped down and sat by Aphrodite, who he still didn't know due to the rules of Zeus. Jason and me faced each other as Artemis spoke.
"We are brought here today, to celebrate the love of Jason Grace and Piper McLean. Now, the rings please." Leo handed Jason the rings, patting his back. "Jason Grace, do you take Piper McLean to be your lawfully wedded wife. In sickness and in health, rich or poor, for as long as you both shall live?" "I do."
"And do you, Piper McLean. Take Jason Grace to be your lawfully wedded husband. In sickness and in health, rich or poor, for as long as you both shall live?" "I do." Artemis smiled and closed her book. "Then by the power of the gods, and law. For you mortals." Almost everyone laughed, except for Tristan and a few others.
"I pronounce you Jason and Piper Grace. You may now kiss your bride." Jason leaned in and kissed me, everyone cheering behind. Especially Aphrodite who was crying, and Aphrodite cabin. After the wedding was the party. Leo and me danced around to our favorite song Unsteady by Ambassadors. After laughing our butts off, I was joined by Jason on the dance floor for our song. Battle Scars by Paradise Fears.
I laid my head on his shoulder, as we spun. "I love you." We both said. After our dance, I danced with my dad. "Remember to always call Piper! I'm always here!" Tristan said. "I know I know." My dad had tears in his eyes. "Dad don't cry. Or else I'll cry too." I burst into tears after my last sentence. Everyone awed and watch us.
Then came the end, as me and Jason hopped into the car and waved goodbye to everyone. "Where are we going?" I asked eagerly. "You'll see." "Great. Another surprise." He laughed, as I laid my head on his shoulder.
