Six Months Later...
It had been so long since the wedding. Hazel and Frank welcomed to the world their daughter Bianca Ruby Zhang. Annabeth and Percy are also close to birth with their twins. I was soo excited to meet them, especially since we didn't know if they were girls or boys or both!
But lately, I haven't been feeling so well. I was always throwing up, tired, and out of shape to do anything. And I've gained some weight, my stomach was looking a little large. I decided to just take a deep breath, and relax. Jason was out with Percy while Annabeth was with her family visiting.
I walked to the beach, sitting by the bar. Of course I didn't feel like drinking, or else I'd puke it out. I just sat back and watched the waves roll. "Beautiful day isn't it?" I turned my head to see a woman with long dark hair, grey stormy eyes, with a white blouse with wide open sleeves, a tan sun hat, jeans, and comfortable black heels.
"Athena?" I asked. Athena nodded. "What brings you to New Rome? I know you hate it and all. But why?" "Someone in particular said you would be here. So I decided to come, any questions or help? I'm here to assist." She snapped her fingers and the waiter brought her a drink. "Well I do have one question."
"Ask away, I have answers." "Well, I've kind of been experiencing some sickness lately. And not where you throw up only few times, but a lot." Athena got suspicious, rubbing her chin. "Have they been taken mostly in the morning?" "Yes! Every morning." "And have you had weird cravings?"
"Not really. But I fear this might be a sickness. I've been growing a lot and I've been gaining weight, fast!" Athena's eyes lit up. She smiled and took another drink. "What? Is the sickness good?" "Of course." "But how?" Athena took my hand. "Piper my dear, there is an answer to all these symptoms. But I want you to try and figure it out."
I put all the pieces together. "Sickness in the morning, lots of food eating, my period is late. And my stomach is growing. I don't- whoa." Athena smiled as I looked up at her "Is it true? Do I- am I?" "Yes my dear, you carry a child." "I'm- I'm pregnant." I suddenly felt a shock of surprise hit me.
"I'm pregnant! Oh, goddess Athena! What do I do?!" "You should probably tell your husband. I mean, when my daughter declaimed her pregnancy to her husband, a child of Poseidon, he lost it and fainted. Make sure to bring pillows." I thanked Athena and ran off.
I threw a drachma into the bathroom sink and waited. "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering." After a second, I spoke again. "Oh Fleecy, do me a solid. Show Aphrodite, Olympus." Then a minute later, my mother popped up in her room doing her makeup.
"I see you've heard the news! Thanks to Athena." Aphrodite said. "Yes. I guess I'm pregnant." Aphrodite screeched and turned around. "Stay right there." Aphrodite said, and left the room. A minute later, I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Hello child." Aphrodite said. I hugged my mom tight.
"Aphrodite! Is this real? I can't believe it!" "How will you tell that husband of yours?" "Um..." "Look, think deep into your heart and choose what you think is best. Something that will make him happy to find out he's having a kid!" I thought for a second, and got an idea.
"I know! I'm going to make us a wooden board with three special dates! Proposal, marriage, and the due date for our baby! By the way, can you help me find out the due date?" "Of course." Aphrodite grabbed my hand and in a flash we landed on Olympus.
"Piper Grace, congratulations on the gift of your child! My son will be proud." Zeus said. The gods all clapped, as I walked to Artemis. "Best wishes to you Piper Grace. And your healthy baby-" "Can the baby's gender be a secret? I want it to be a surprise." "Of course." She placed her hand on my stomach. "You have one child, looks like you're two weeks. The baby's due date is April 12. Congrats!"
I thanked Artemis and the gods as Aphrodite took me home. I worked all day on the board, Aphrodite helping me a bit. After half an hour, it was done. On the board, it said:
First comes LOVE
Proposal: May 1st. I put the stringed light on it from the engagement part.
Then comes MARRIAGE
Wedding: June 5th. I put the picture of us on our wedding day
Then comes our little monkey.
Due Date: April 12. I put the baby shoe.
I was happy, but also apprehensive that Jason wouldn't be happy. Aphrodite left, leaving me to worry. I put my hand on my stomach, smiling. But the moment was ruined, I heard the door open. "Pipes! I'm home!" I hid the gift and ran to the living room and jumped into his arms.
"Miss me?" He laughed. "Of course sparky. I always miss you." I gave him a kiss and ran back to the kitchen. "Jason sweetie! I have a gift!" "Is it more kisses?" He asked smirking. I rolled my eyes as he sat down. "It took me a little bit. But it was worth it." I said as I handed him the brown paper bag with blue ribbon.
He pulled the wooden rectangle shaped board.
"Open from top and go down slowly." I said. "That's was she said." Jason smirked as I hit his shoulder. As Jason red the beginning, he smiled at me. "First comes Love! Aww, the proposal date. And the light from the stringed lights."
Watching him open it made me smile and almost cry. "Then comes marriage! Our best picture! I'm so glad I didn't blink like the other ones." So close! I thought. "Then comes our little- monkey." I smiled. Jason looked at the board, and looked up at me. "Are you saying-" "Yes. I'm pregnant!" Jason got up and hugged me tight, kissing my forehead a few times.
"This is great! I'm going to be a father! There's going to be a mini Jason or Piper! One right?" I nodded. "Okay because I can barely take care of myself. Than take care of two." I laughed. He kissed my stomach, and then my lips. "I love you!" Jason said. "And I love you too monkey!" Jason kissed my stomach. "I love both of you." I said.
