Chapter 5: Bombed

Day 5:

7:19 AM

So me and Carter really began to befriend eachother (Rocky too.) and we would usually hang out on our free time and play with Rocky. We would go to the weapons center and shoot targets, we did tactical training and a lot more things.

Of course I still hung out with my Squad mates though too. Teelson got really sick. Anyway, me and Owens went to the mess hall to eat when we were called by another General called General Hendricks. He said that he was proud of us and promoted us! Owens became a Staff Sergeant and I was promoted to a Sergeant! It's great not to be the Rookie around here anymore.

8:21 AM

Our promotions made us really happy and I told Carter about it too.

8:36 AM

Me and Carter, Rocky and Owens were hanging out when we look up at the sky. We can see people jumping out of a plane and we look at eachother confused.

"Are they friendlies?" Carter asked.

The plane then dropped a bunch of things that looked like bombs.

"BOMBER! RUN!" Owens screamed.

"Crap! "  I say.

We begin to run as fast as we can to the exit when we see that around the gate are 2 tanks blocking us. We run in another direction and I ask Carter and Owens if they have any spare C4.

"I got some. " Carter says.

He puts one on the walls and pushes a button that makes the C4 explode. We run off to the woods and watch the bombs hit the base. Wiping it out entirely.

10:47 AM

We are still watching the base got get destroyed when we see Stillwater and Anders running to us.

"Guys!" Owens said.

Rocky growls but Carter tells him to stop.

"Teelson didn't make it." Stillwater says sadly.

"No, How?"  I ask

"He saved our lives. He threw a grenade back but he didn't do it in time. He shielded us and took the blast." Anders said.

"No... " Owens said. "That can't be!"

"Im sorry." Stillwater said.

Suddenly, Anders let's out a scream and falls forward. He took a bullet in the back by a Sniper!

We pull him back into the woods where the Sniper can't snipe us. Anders says a few of his last words.

"Guys, I'm Sorry, but it's my time to go." Anders says silently.

"No!" Owens says

"It was great to be in your Squadron... Bye." Anders said

Anders's eyes closed and we had to leave him and the base.

Me, Owens, Carter and Rocky, and Stillwater began the hardest fight for survival yet.
