Chapter 16

ROSS' POV

I was excited for Ash and everyone else to sleep over. Though she might go hang out with Rydel all night though. At least I will get to see her more.

Finally I got a text and I ran across the room to pick it up hoping it was Ash. I picked it up and saw that Laura texted.

Laura: hey rossy, delly is letting me sleepover 2nite

Ross: oh kool c u then

I wasn't looking forward to Laura coming over. I wanted to focus on Ash and she always stays by me the whole time. She will probably leave me alone if I stay in my room all night.

Then I heard Ash scream, "ROSS!!!" I jumped off my bed and ran downstairs to the front door and said, "Ash!" I picked her up and spun her around. She started giggling and that made me start giggling.

I let her go and grabbed her hand. Then she stood on her tiptoes and whispered into my ear, "Wanna watch a movie?" I nodded my head and dragged her into my room. I already had a movie in my mind that I knew would be perfect.

"Can I pick the movie, pretty please?!?!?" I asked her. She smiled at me and nodded. I put in a scary movie because then she would want to snuggle with me.

She said, "Oh, a sc-scary movie huh?" I wrapped my arm around her and said with a smile on my face, "Don't worry, I will protect you."

I laid down in my bed and picked up the cover for her to come underneath. I clicked play and we sat and watched. I have seen this movie a lot so I knew that a really creepy part was coming up.

I looked down at Ash and saw her snuggling into my chest with her eyes closed. I leaned down and kissed her forehead and I saw her smile.

About 15 minutes later I looked down at Ash and saw her eyes still closed. "Ash?" I whispered. She didn't move so I assume she fell asleep.

NOBODY'S POV

Eventually Ross fell asleep.

ROSS' POV

I was awakened by Ash tossing and turning in her sleep. She must have been having a nightmare from that scary movie so I tried shaking her awake.

"Ash, wake up sweetie," I told her. She finally opened her eyes and stared at me for a second then clung to me and said, "Oh my god Ross you're okay!" Then she started crying and I said, "Shhh Ash it's okay i'm here. Shhhh."

After about 5 minutes of her crying into my shirt, she finally was calm enough to talk. I asked her, "Do you wanna tell me what your dream was about?" She nodded her head and started to talk.
