Chapter 10
"What a lovely morning!" I exclaimed excitedly as I watched Angie cruise through lush green garden around my house.
It was indeed a lovely morning.
Why?
Because I slept amazingly well last night.
I never knew cuddling to sleep could be so much fun.
Well you'd be wondering if I was talking about Genelia.
No we never slept together...
She had some queer range of habits that she couldn't alter.
One of them is sleeping in her own bed with six pillows around her and a teddy below her head instead of pillow.
So you might have guessed by now that there'd hardly be any place for me to fit in.
Last night when I left Sia in the guest room, I realized that she might need water in the night and I did not want her to strain her sprained ankle to go looking for water
And therefore*You can pat me on my back in appreciation* like a good fiancé I picked a jug of water and a glass to leave it besides her bed.
I reached her room to find her fast asleep but was wincing in pain.
Her body was sweating in spite of cold weather.
It was clear that she was hiding her pain earlier.
I knew medics might have worked for the wound and it was ankle pain that was hurting her. So I picked icepack from the refrigerator and gave ice massage on her ankle.
She woke up disoriented and scared but I sushed her "Sshhh.. its okay. Its me"
"What are you doing here?" she asked scared.
"Its okay. I won't hurt you. You are safe." I tried to convince as I gave soft massage on her now swollen ankle.
"I am safe?" she was asking more to herself
"Yes. I promise, I'd never hurt you" I assured her helping her with water and wiping her sweat with moistened towel.
When I asked her to relax and sleep she almost sighed in relief
"Sandy?" she tried to recognize me.
"That's me," I affirmed for her.
"Idiot you can never hurt me." She can be an amazing bitch even if semi conscious "you cannot hurt an insect and moreover I am a better fighter than you" she boasted before dosing back to sleep.
I couldn't help but chuckle at her macho attitude
I was about to leave when a familiar, soft touch on my wrist held me back "you promise you'd never hurt me?" she asked still asleep.
Probably she won't remember that she did this in the morning.
"I cannot trust any one but you are different." She mumbled using my wrist as her pillow.
"Thanks" I moved my other hands on her forehead, caressing her, her face vulnerable and depicting a lot of pain.
An unsettling feeling rested at the pit of my stomach with her pain
It was making me uncomfortable and at the same time I wanted to do something to ease her pain.
Damn why can't I be reasonable for once.
"Sleep well gorgeous" I mumbled and tried to get free my hands from her
But damn she was strong!
