Chapter 1

"All right class. I have an announcement to make"Madame Boustier said standing in front of the "We will be going to China for a month"Madame Boustier announced causing the class to erupt in cheers and laughter.
Not me though. I groaned quietly causing Alya to turn towards me.
"What's wrong girl?"Alya asked.
"Nothing Alya"I reply.
"We will be leaving at mid-night tonight so start packing"Madame Boustier announced before leaving us in the room.
"God. Why does the trip have be at the same time"I asked mumbling to myself.
"Same time as what girl?"Alya

"Nothing important Alya" I lied. You see. I am not excited for the trip to my home country as I will be attending my own coronation to become the Empress. No one knows in Paris.

"Well. We should probably go home and pack"I suggest to my friends as I stood from my seat collecting my belongings.
"Yeah. See you guys tonight"Adrien replied picking his stuff up.
My phone vibrated in my pocket so I pulled it out and unlocked the screen. It was a message from my personal assistant Hiroshi. the message read.

To Princess Marinette,
I have sent Hui to your house in Paris to pack a few of your belongings. I know how much you enjoy fashion so I told her to pack your fashion equipment as well. In China you will have one week before your public appearance and then two weeks before your coronation. You will have a tight schedule during your time here I must inform you that on your schedule you will be going to the orphanage to greet children. You will also have very much needed lessons as you have missed out on them for quite a while.

I and China are looking forward to seeing your beauty once again.

Hiroshi

I sighed deeply, blushing a little and put my phone away.

"Who was that Dudette?" Nino asked noticing my dis-stress.

"No one"I replied.

"I have to go home know. See you later guys" I told my friends before walking out off the room. I walked along the not so busy corridors of the school. I walk all the way to my bakery. As I entered I was greeted by a familiar maid. Hui.

"Greetings your highness"Hui greeted bowing in my presence.

"Greeting Hui"I replied bowing my head in respect.

"You are all packed an ready to go home Princess"Hui informed me.

"Wonderful. Know all I have to do is to get ready and inform my friends"I sighed.

"I have laid out an outfit for your travel and I will call you friends to inform them to come here so you can tell them"Hui said. I nod my head in thanks and walk up to my soon not be bedroom.

Everything was in boxes except for my chaise and two chairs. On my chaise was a dress for me to get changed into.

I slipped of my usual attire and replaced them with the dress. I untied my hair from its usual style and pulled it into a high ponytail. I waited for a few more minutes before going down stairs. I entered my bakery to be greeted with a warm embrace coming from my father.

"So grown up already"Father sobbed.

"Father. It will be alright"I soothe him.

"I apologize for interrupting this father, daughter moment but Princess Marinette's friends are downstairs in the bakery awaiting for her arrival"Hui announced in a robotic voice.

" Thank you for letting me know Hui I will be there in one moment"I reply pulling away from my father's embrace. Hui nods her head an makes her way back to the bakery.

"You better get going you don't want to keep them waiting" father told me wiping away the tear on his cheeks. I nod my head and walked to the bakery.

"Hey guys. Can we talk in my room?" I ask dragging there attention towards me.

"Sure girl. By the way I live your outfit"Alya replied.

"Yeah. You look nice dudette "Nino agreed.

"Thanks. Come on"I tell them signalling for them to follow me.

"Erm. Were is Adrien?"I ask noticing that my blonde crush wasn't here.

"His dad wouldn't let him leave the house. But at least he's coming to China with us"Nino said.

I sigh and nod my head.

Alya and Nino followed me to my room.

"Jesus dudette whats with the boxes and cases?"Nino asked as we walked into my room.

"I'm not coming back from China"I breathed.

"What. What do you mean?"Alya asked

"Princess Marinette. Hiroshi has sent some designs for your coronation gown"Hui said coming in the room with a thick envelope. I nod my head as I took the designs.

"Mari.What the hell!"Alya exclaimed.

I giggle nervously as I sat down on my chaise.

"I Marinette Dupain-Cheng am also known as the crowned princess Marinette the future Empress of China" I tell them.

They stare at me wide eyed.

"Your not joking are you Girl?"Alya asked
