Second Afterlife Chapter 5

--------Toshiro's POV--------

"Matsumoto!" I screamed when we entered the shop that Urahara owned. Then she came bouncing into the room.

"Captain! You're back! I see that you brought your girlfriend here, too!" Then she hugged me super tight. I swear that her huge breasts started to suffocate me.

"Matsumoto! I still need to breathe!" I screamed as loud as I could. Even with as loud as I could be, it still came out as a whisper.

"Alright, Captain. I just...I still can't believe that you have a girlfriend." Then she started to hug the life out of Karin. I tried to pry her off. I couldn't get her off. When Kisuke and Yoruichi walked in, they saw that Karin was struggling to breathe, so they helped me get Rangiku off of her. Finally, after three minutes of Rangiku hugging Karin, we got her off. Karin was taking very fast and deep breaths.

When she finally slowed her breathing she started to scream at Rangiku. "Rangiku, you almost suffocated me! You almost killed me!" I had to make sure that Karin wasn't going to kill her, so I took her into another room to relax by herself.

When I came back into the room, Kisuke was staring at me. "So, what is it that you are here for?" I realized that his tone was more serious and in that kind of 'get to the point' tone. So I just got down to it.

"Ok, Karin and I are here to ask you why you told Rangiku and Yoruichi that we are 'dating?'" I put quotes around dating because everyone there, except Karin, knew that we weren't going to be boyfriend and girlfriend for much longer.

"I told them because I knew that they would bug me about why you would leave for hours at a time, and not tell them anything."

I just stared at him. He had no problem of keeping other of my secrets from Rongiku and Yoruichi before, so what makes this different. "You have keep some of my secrets from these two in the past, so why is this different?" I asked him, expecting an answer.

"I told them in this situation because I thought that it brought out that sweet side of Toshiro that we don't get to see very often. I thought that they would like an explanation for why you smile a lot more, nowadays." Kisuke responded. I respected his reason, but he could have at least told me that he was going to tell them. I was about to say something to him when Karin walked into the room.

Her face was beet red and she looked like she had been crying. She ran up to me d began to cry into my chest. What is wrong with her?

--------Karins POV--------

I ran up Toshiro and hugged him super tight. I had just gotten some bad news.

----Flashback----

Rrrriiiinnnngggg!!!!

My cellphone started to ring.

"Hello"

"Is this Karin Kurosaki?"

"Yes"

"I am very sorry but two men by the names of Isshin and Ichigo, and a woman by the name of Yuzu have been in a terrible car accident. Yuzu only has minor injuries. Isshin and Ichigo have possible life threatening injuries. I need you to come to the hospital immediately."

"Yeah, I will be there in 15 minutes."

"What is wrong, Karin?" Toshiro ask me. I could tell that he knew that there had to be something very wrong. I just looked up at him, tears following down my cheeks.

"We...need to...go to...the...hospital. Right...now." I told trying with all of my strength to quit crying. He nodded at me and we were off.
