    "How was the lunch date with your father?"my mother said.

   "Well mama K if you must know it was wonderful."

   "Lilly stop over exaggerating, it was terrible I wound up cursing him out."

   "You what? Why?"Nana said.

   "It's not important."

   "Don't you lie to me girl."she said.

   "I would appreciate it if we stopped talking about this." I said exasperated.

   "You never want to talk about it."

   "Mom drop it! I'm going to go take a nap."

I walked into the room and found Josh sitting in a chair reading.

   "I take it you had a good time?"

   "I wish you guys would stop fucking talking about the shit."

I laid down on the bed gently because these stupid stitches bothered me so much. Josh came over and started to massage my feet.

    "I'm sorry babe I won't talk about it."He said.

    "I don't mean to snap on you guys so I'm sorry too. Anyways how was your day?"

   "I went to go see my mom and sister."

   "Tell me what they're like."

He told me so much about his mother and how she would love me but when he described his sister it was short. I couldn't ask him about it because I was so sleepy.

    "Hey Josh, My friend Emily just texted me to ask if I was still coming to her house for dinner tomorrow. Will you come with me?"

    "What do I get if I go?"He asked.

    "Well when these stitches come out next week I'll show you."I whispered into his ear.

    "Deal."He pressed his body against mine and kissed me passionately.

As always I wrapped my fingers in his hair bringing his lips closer to mine, I could feel his growth in his jeans. We were just about to make our way towards the bed when Lilly barged in.

    "Jesus Lilly you can at least knock first." I said irritated.

    "I thought I was your best friend."

    "You are my best friend. What are you talking about?"

    "Obviously not since you didn't tell me that he was a vampire."

Shit. I was planning on telling her and my dad that small detail as soon as I found the right time.

    "How did you find out?"I asked.

    "I had a vision."

    "I'm really sorry Lilly pad I was trying to find the right time to tell you and my dad."

    "It's okay, but next time I will hold a grudge against you for at least 10 minutes instead of 5."She stuck her tongue out and hugged me.

    "Well I guess I should tell my dad. Josh if I were you I would run."He laughed but I was so serious.

My dad didn't get home until 7 and it was 6:50, so I drew together a plan. My dad would come home tired, he will eat his dinner, and then watch the Giants game on TV. After he watches his game he will be in a good mood and that is when I'll tell him. I fixed him a plate and waited until he came in.

     "Welcome home daddy!"I kissed his cheek.

     "Thank you Gumdrop."

     "You're welcome dad."

I followed him into the living room where Lilly and Josh were waiting on the floor with the game on.

    "Hi Lilly, hi Josh."

    "Hey."Lilly said.

I pulled a dinner table over to my dad and sat down next to him. I even brought him a bottle of Budweiser to drink.

    "Are you comfortable? Do you need anything daddy?"

    "Okay. What is it that you want?"

Was I really that obvious?

    "What makes you think I want something?"

    "You made me a plate of food, you brought me beer, and you put on football."

   "So?"

   "You hate football."

Somehow in my head it seemed like such a good plan. I wasn't expecting it to backfire.

   "Fine, you caught me. I wanted to tell you something," I turned to face him,"but promise me you won't overreact."

   "Oh god, You're pregnant."

   "No dad not that."I giggled.

   "Oh good I was about to say."

   "Josh is a vampire."I said.

   "What?"

   "Josh is a vampire." I repeated.

   "That's great news sweetie."

Wait! Did he just say that's great news and did he call me sweetie?

    " Wow dad you're taking this lightly."

    "Why wouldn't I? My daughter's dating a vampire, nothing strange about that. I...I think I need to sleep now."

    "Well that went well don't you think?"Lilly said.

I threw a couch pillow at her head "Go home."

     "Fine but your gonna miss me when I'm gone. You're gonna miss me by my hair, you're gonna miss me everywhere, you're gonna miss me when I'm gone."

    "Yes I get it Anna Kendrick."I roll my eyes.

    "Okay you twig bitch."

    "Do you wanna get hit with another pillow?"

   "Wow my sister is threatening me with a pillow, fine if you don't want me here I'll go."

   "You are such a drama queen. Love you."

   "Love you too air smooches."

I gave her air smooches because that was really the only way to get her to leave.

    "Your sister is a lot to handle."

    "Yes she is and I wouldn't have it any other way."

    "What time does the dinner start tomorrow?"

    "It starts at 8 and I promise you don't have to eat a lot of food." I kissed him.

    "Lets go play a game."

    "Josh for the millionth time I'm not having sex while my parents are home." I whispered.

    "I am offended, I was talking about an actual game."He put his hand on his chest to make it seem like I hurt his feelings.

    "I'm sorry babe; Do you want to play UNO?"I giggled.

    "Why yes m'lady, after you."

    "Why thank you kind sir, thou art very kind." I did a little curtsy and walked in front.
