00| Introduction

{Oka}

~8 Years Ago~

"You're... going to adopt us?" the redhead asked, baffled. Ayano nodded with a smiled. "Yep, and I know your name is Rīrī, but we're going to rename you." Her eyes lit up. "What's my new name?" she asked.

"Your new name is Akage. And your new name is Katame," I said and booped Katame's nose, causing her to giggle. Rīrī smiled. "Akage it is then!" The mini Mirikato, Rai, nodded in agreement. "Call me Katame!"

Ayano took them to the adoption center receptionist as I walked over to the girl I would be renaming Mayonaka.

I crouched down next to her and smiled as the little girl looked away from her teddy bear. "Hi, there. My name is Oka and I was wondering if you'd want a mom," I greeted. The little girl's violet eyes shined and smiled. "S-Sure!"

I stood up and grabbed her hand, leading her to where Aya-chan was. I'm going to be a mom, I thought to myself. And I'm going to be the best mom there is. Along with Aya-chan!

{Ayano}

~Present Day~

"Akage? What are you doing, sweetheart?" I opened the door slowly to reveal Akage sitting on her bed, her red hair down to the bottom of her ribcage and her red rimmed glasses sitting on her head. Her crimson red eyes were filled with tears but when she saw me, she quickly wiped them away. "Hey, Mom. What's up?"

I frowned and sat down next to her. "Is there something wrong?" She plastered a fake smile on her face and shook her head. "Of course not! Everything is great! I just... got into a little fight with Onaya, that's all." Onaya, huh? Out of all people. "What happened?"

"She was being her usual nosy self and she snuck into my privacy when I was trying to find some dirt on Fukaina so I could blackmail her," she said, her eyebrows furrowed. "Onaya was just curious," I said while rubbing her shoulder.

"That doesn't give her the right to go through my computer." Akage fell back on her bed as Katame walked in. "Akage, darling. Do you mind fixing my phone? It started acting up and I don't know why. If you could fix it, it would be absolutely marvelous, darling."

I smiled. Same old, same old. I got up and ruffled Akage's hair. "You and Onaya are going to make up soon. I know it. Have fun with that phone situation." I walked out of the room, hearing Akage say, "Bye, Mom!"

Akage and Katame were 16 and Mayonaka was 15. Mayonaka turns out to be bisexual and Akage and Katame... I'm not exactly sure. They don't talk much about their relationships. But I'm sure Katame is single. No one is 'worthy' enough to have her and Akage doesn't need anyone, according to her.

Oka and I have been moms for 8 years but Oka still doesn't believe that she's doing a good job. I've had to reassure her many times. Mayonaka was sweet and innocent, just like her. Akage has Kitolomo's influence but other than that, she's a good kid that gets good grades. Katame is... glamorous. That's the first thing I think when Katame is mentioned. She's social, smart, funny, is good at designing clothes, and calling people darling.

Oka and I did great. But how do I get her to believe that?

"Ha! Take that, Fukaina!" I smiled when I found a video of cheating on her boyfriend, Kagaku, the son of Kaga Kusha, with Gei, the son of Budo Masuta. Fukaina, daughter of Osana and Taro Yamada, is a spoiled brat who calls people bakas when she's the biggest baka there is.
