Not So Happily Ever After (A Niall Horan Fanfic)

Chapter 6

Kayla's P.O.V.

I woke up and checked my phone and it was almost noon. I probably shouldn't have slept in this late.  I still hadn't gotten any messages from Kara. I was getting worried, but I could't call the police. If I called them, my dad would kill me when he got out. Besides that I'm not even sure that they are still at the house. I hoped they were still okay. I got up and went downstairs. The kids were all eating.

"Hi Kayla. How was last night?" Said Hanna.

"It was great." I smiled remembering backstage, the concert, and the kiss.

"What did you guys do?"

"We went to his and his bands concert and I met them all. Niall taught me guitar, and we had a food fight. They were great at singing too."

"You remind me of your Mom."

"You knew Her?"

"She was my best friend. She fell for a boybander when she was 22. They were always together. Eventually something happened and they broke up. When she started seeing your father, I lost contact with her. I kept in contact with Daniel though."

"When did she start dating my dad?"

"When she was 23."

"So, he is not my real dad because she had me when she was still 22. No wonder why we look so diffrent from each other."

"Yes. She was going to tell you when you turned 18, but then she got in a crash."

I got some food and went to go eat at the table. I heard my phone ring and saw Niall was calling. I answered with food still in my mouth.

"Hello?" I said with a muffled voice.

"Are you eating?HAHAHAHAH. Anyway I was wondering what you are doing tomorrow." He said Nervously.

"I don't know why?"

"I wanted to know if you would go on a date with me tomorrow." He said still nervous.

"Where?"

"Its a surprise."

"Will there be a lot of people? because I cant be all over the media."

"Just us. I promise."

"Then yes."

"Okay. See you tomorrow."

"Bye."

He hung up. I finished my food and went upstairs to take a shower and get dressed. 

"Hey Hanna?"

"What?"

"Can I take the kids to the park?"

"Sure. I think they'd love that."

"Okay. Emily, Anna, Caleb, and Emma get ready to go to the park."

"YAY!!!!!!" They all shouted.

As soon as they were all ready, we walked to the park. It was the same one from the other day.When we got there I let them all go play. I sat down on a blue bench watching them. They looked like they were having a lot of fun.

*Buzzzzz Buzzzzzz* My phone vibrated. I checked my phone. It was a message from Kara.

Kara:

Hi. We are safe now. We were hurt pretty bad, but the people down the road wanted to come check on you. They saw you weren't here but found us. Your dad escaped before the cops could get here. He is probably fleeing the country to Canada. We are at HCMC. Stay with Hanna a few more days. Stay safe and thanks for watching the Kids. By the way you can stay at home as long as you want.

Me:

Ok. Thanks for not telling him where I am. Maybe We can visit you. See you soon.

It was getiing close to dinner time, so I told the kids to get ready. We walked all the way back. Hanna made pizza and we all sat on the couch watching Movies. We all took turns picking movies untill we all crashed. We watched Nemo, Up, Beauty and the Beast, High School Musical, and Cinderella. I love Disney movies. At the end on Cinderella, Hanna woke me up and asked me to help her carry th kids to bed. When we were all done I remembered the text.

"Hanna, I forgot to tell you earlier, but Kara text me. She said they are okay. They are at HCMC. My dad is probably fleeing the country, and we can go home soon."

"Okay. Do you want to go see them? Tomorrow Maybe?"

"I can't go tomorrow. I was planing on going on a date with Niall."

"Okay. How about Wednesday?" 

"Sure. Goodnight."

"Night."

I went to the guest room and plugged in my phone. I had one new message from an unknown number.

Unknown:

Don't Worry Kayla I Will Find You Soon.

Shit I thought. I coudn't Sleep knowing that it was my so called Dad. I laid in bed trying not to fall asleep, but eventually I couldnt hold my eyes open. I drifted off into a very deep sleep.

A/N: Sorry I updated later than normal. It took me like 2+ hrs to type it because Im a slow typer and my laptop died towards the end of it and had to start over.
