4: Packing

I woke up the next morning, ready to get to work. I have to pack for VidCon, record a few videos so I can edit them on the trip, and wait for my mom to call me (it's calling day). And I have to get this all done by tomorrow, so I can be packed and ready to drive to Sacramento, California at noon. I've never been so busy in my life.

I speed walk to the kitchen and fix a quick, but satisfying, breakfast. I didn't want to look like crap whenever I started filming, so I brush my teeth and put my hair in a side ponytail. Seconds later, I was texting Nicole asking her if she wanted to game with me today. She quickly replied yes, and I was sitting at my iMac in a matter of minutes. Nicole logged on about the same time as me. She also had to pack for VidCon. She probably procrastinated like me as well and is trying to finish off her mental list of stuff to do.

We played Minecraft for a few hours, and when I logged off, I didn't go straight to editing like I usually do. I did though send the videos to my email, so I could use my laptop in the car to edit. When I finished, I went straight into my room to pack. I grabbed my black suitcase from my closet, and I set it on the bed. I went back to my closet looked through my clothes. Most of my clothes consist of shorts and t-shirts because of the Hollywood weather, so I really didn't need to go out and buy anything, but since Nicole and I are driving together, she will probably want to stop at every mall we see and buy anything that looks cute, so I don't need to bring a lot of clothes. That's a plus.

I pick out 5 pairs of shorts, 3 blue jean, 1 white, and 1 black. I also pick out some t-shirts, crop tops, and 1 blouse to wear. I don't think I'll need the blouse, but it's for emergencies. I fold the clothes and pack them neatly in the bottom layer of my bag. I walk back to the closet and pick out 3 of my favorite dresses. My first pick is a a red fitted dress with a sweetheart neckline and a sheer collar and sleeves. My next pick is forest green with spaghetti straps and a short front and a maxi-dress back. My last pick is white with a silk belt through the middle and a white sparkly tulle skirt. I fold the dresses carefully and lay them inside my suitcase, right beside my shirts. I zip up the bottom layer, and move on to the top layer where the shoes are supposed to be kept. I walk to closet again, and grab my red, black, and white converse, my black heels, and my black and white wedges. I slip them into the "shoe layer", and I zip it up.

I walk to the bathroom, and grab my travel bag. I put my everyday makeup in there, but I also put in my smokey eye pad for the rare occasion of me getting to go party or something like that. The next things I grab are my hair products, hairspray, heat protectant, my Chi flat iron, and my hair dryer. I wrap the cords around the flat iron and the hair dryer, and I set them inside the travel bag, along with the other products. I zip up the bag, and go back to my room with the travel bag in hand. I set the bag down on my bed, and I hear a ring coming from my phone in the kitchen. I run to the outlet where my phone was plugged in, and I answer it.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Hey honey. Just doing my daily check-ins," Mom says, "so, how are you doing?"

"I'm good. I'm just trying to finish packing for the long ride to Sacramento tomorrow," I say.

"Oh! I didn't mean to bother you," she says.

"You didn't bother me," I lie, "I was just fixing something to eat." Another lie.

"Okay dear, I just wanted to make sure you were doing well," my mom says.

"Bye Mom," I say.

"Bye," she says hanging up the phone.

I walk back into my bedroom and finish packing all of my "on the road activities" that will occupy me during the trip. I pack my MacBook Pro, a couple books, a few movies, and I set out my pastel purple Penny Board for when we actually get there. I look at the alarm clock setting on my nightstand and see that I have been packing for 3 hours. I started packing at 10 am, and now it's around 2:30 pm. That means I skipped lunch.

I stroll back into the kitchen, and I heat up some leftover spaghetti from last night's collab-dinner.

---------------------

A couple of hours later, I've finished my spaghetti and had watched 10 episodes of NCIS. I check the time on my phone, and it was 10 o' clock at night. I put my used plate in the sink, and checked my Twitter before the long day of driving tomorrow. I looked to see what was trending, and apparently, #taraatvidcon is the number 1 hashtag used on Twitter. I decided that I would post a thank you tweet tomorrow saying how I was lucky to have such great fans, but right now, I'm really tired, and I just want to get to bed. I run straight to my bedroom, and once my head hit my pillow. I was out like a light.

<>Author's Note<>

The video for the banner is the opener for the 1st episode of the TV show NCIS. If you've never heard of it, the show started in 2003 and it's still airing. You can watch the show on CBS network. (CBS is not paying me or publicing me in any way, this is just me and my opinion- and facts).

The show is a crime drama, probably rated PG-13 for language and scenes (not sex scenes, but more of the bodies of the victims (some are horrific)). The show stars Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum, ect.

This show is actually my favorite show on television, despite American Dad! and Adventure Time (again, the shows are not paying or publicing me in any way, this is just me and my opinion).

Please tell me if you watch NCIS too. I'm glad to chat with you, but if you've neve seen it, I'M NOT GIVING AWAY SPOILERS!!!
