It hurts.
It hurts.
Fuck, everything hurts.
Wad let out a yell as he tried to push off his attackers. He squirmed and tried to kick them away but it only seemed to fuel their anger more. The hits were full of hatred and Wad couldn't do anything to stop it. He gave up. He just laid there and did nothing to stop the hits.
Until he felt someone shielding his body.
Wad couldn't bring his head up but he could hear a few shouts and yells everywhere around him. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw his attackers running away. Wad felt an arm around his waist and he struggled to stand up, gripping tightly onto the body.
"Are you okay?" Wad heard the voice and his eyes widened slightly before he turned around and stared at the man.
"P'Prem.." He whispered the name and tried to stand up still but hissed when a sharp pain jolted through his body.
Prem had blood trickling on his eyebrows and there were already a few bruises forming.
"Wad, are you okay?" Prem's eyebrows furrowed in concern as he held onto Wad tighter, supporting him.
Wad tried to move his leg but groaned loudly in pain. He shook his head and breathed heavily. "No.." He whispered out. "My leg hurts." He muttered.
Prem cursed and glanced down at Wad's leg before making the latter lean against the wall. "Come here." Prem turned his back towards Wad and grabbed the back of his legs, hoisting the younger student up onto his back.
Prem was hurting too. He could feel his lips throbbing and the side of his face was stinging but Wad looked like he was in so much pain and he just couldn't bear to see the younger man like that. He bent forward to grab Wad's bag and piggy back the younger man out to the main road. Prem could feel Wad head resting on his shoulders and his arms wrapping itself weakly around Prem's neck. He could feel his heart clench and ached from the sight of the younger boy, all weak and helpless.
"Hang on, Wad.." Prem adjusted Wad's position on his back and could hear the other groaning in pain.
"Those fucking bastards.." He cursed as he looked around for a taxi. He hailed one and very gently set Wad inside the backseat, laying him down. Prem entered and urged the driver to head onto the hospital quickly.
Prem gently took Wad's head and placed it onto his lap, carding his fingers through the younger's hair to take a look at his injuries. "Just a while more, Wad.. You're going to be okay." He whispered.
-
Wad's eyes fluttered open and he blinked slightly, trying to get his eyes to adjust to the light. He moved his body and gasped from the sharp pain that follow.
"Eh Wad, don't move." Came a voice and Wad turned to look.
"P'Prem.." He blinked as he stared at his senior. "You're still here?" He asked.
Prem nodded. "Of course. Wad, you have a sprained ankle, and some bruises on your face. So, just stay still." He advised and Wad nodded.
It was silent for a few moments until Prem coughed and Wad looked up. He took the time to really look at the senior. All these while, he didn't really had a good look since all they ever did was fight and argue. But now, Wad is looking at Prem in a totally different way.
He didn't think of Prem as the rude, power crazed senior anymore.
Wad opened his mouth to say something when the door barged open and came in Wad's mother.
