Lance woke in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep.
He walked past Keith's room and heard quiet sobs and whimpers.
Lance knocked on the door but it automatically opened.Keith was still asleep but he was thrashing around and tears were falling freely down his face.
Lance shook him to try and make him wake up. After a few tries he sat up and broke into a cold sweat.
Keith's purple eyes darted around the room and then he saw Lance sitting beside him and he started crying.
Lance didn't know how to comfort the red paladin.He wrapped his arms around Keith's waist and pulled him onto his lap and rocked him back and forth.
Keith nuzzled his face in the crook of Lance's neck and eventually his sobs died down.
"Do you wanna talk about it?"Lance asked
"M-maybe some o-other time."Keith stuttered
Lance stayed with Keith for the rest of the night and they both fell asleep.
