Chapter 9

-Frisk-

I slowly walked back outside to tell Papyrus about the situation. To my surprise, he was on the phone.

"YES I'M WITH FRISK... I DO BELIEVE ITS NECESSARY.... UNDERSTOOD, "He said looking over his shoulder, secretively. And that's when he noticed me. "GOT TO GO... BYE" Papyrus said and quickly hung up. He looked at me nervously and faked a smile.

"Who was that?" I asked curiously.

"NO ONE!" he insisted, sweating a bit. I decided not to ask anymore about it, I didn't want to come off as nosy...

I explained everything that happened with G to Papyrus. He sighed discontentedly. "POOR G.. I KNOW HE DIDNT MEAN TO HURT THAT HUMAN... RIGHT FRISK?" Papyrus asked me.

I sigh, I didn't know how to answer that question without lying to him... "He only did what he did to protect me..." I reply choosing my words carefully.

"BUT WHAT DID THE HUMAN DO TO YOU?" He asked cocking a none existent eyebrow. "Uhm..."

"FRISK.. I'M NOT AS INNOCENT AND PURE AS YOU THINK I AM. JUST TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED." Papyrus said seriously, I sigh. At times like these, it's hard to say not to him.

"He ran his hand up my leg." I reply. Papyrus's face stretched with disgust, "WELL NOW I'M GLAD MY BROTHER DID WHAT HE DID." He stated.

I smiled and laughed a little, "NO ONE SHOULD EVER TOUCH YOU LIKE THAT WITHOUT PERMISSION." He says angrily, "Thanks pap." I say smiling at the fact of how upset he was over me.

"U-UM HUMAN..." He started tapping his pointer fingers together, "I-I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD BE OKAY IF I STAY WITH YOU UNTIL MY BROTHER GETS OUT OF HIS CURRENT... SITUATION." He asked shyly.

"Of course you can." I reply smiling. "You're always welcome Pap!"

A comforting, yet slightly tense silence filled the car on the drive back to my place. I frantically tapped on the wheel, keeping back a frustrated breath. G had not only tainted her already bad reputation, but also caused a lot of worry to engulf Pap and I.

The odds of him getting into more trouble were endless. A voice in the back of my mind told me not to leave his side, but the more rational part knew that my nerves would never slow down if I did. Pap seemed to be in the same boat as I, not relishing the fact that his brother had been unfairly convicted.

Taking a deep breath, I decided to start conversation with Pap. Why not just put my focus on something else?

"I haven't heard from Alphys or Undyne in a long time. Do you know what they've been up to?" I force the seriousness down my throat and replace it with a softer sound.

"O-OH UHH..." Pap seemed to be at a loss for words. "LAST I CALLED THEY SEEMED TO BE DOING FINE?" Papyrus didn't sound to sure but I didn't push it. "WHAT ABOUT YOU!"

"Well nothing serious..." I reply not really wanting to burden papyrus with the problems I carry. "The only recently exciting thing that's happened is the new Wendy's that's opening down the block," I laughed, attempting to lighten the mood.

"WE MUST TRAVEL THERE TOGETHER!" He exclaimed, his grin widening.

I nodded, focusing on the road. "Yeah, we should."

While Pap was in the kitchen making pasta, I focused on the television.

Ever since the releasing of the monsters, I had to keep up with everything going on at all times. Remaining alert is one of the responsibilities with being ambassador.

Nothing too life changing. Minor car crashes and lots of traffic.

I took a deep breath and relaxed into the couch. The smell of spaghetti calmed my senses. Today has been stressful to say the least, I smiled as Papyrus walk in the room with two plates of spaghetti.

I took a small bite, I didn't realize how hungry I was... The spaghetti wasn't too bad surprisingly. I continued eating when I brought my attention back to the news. They were talking about the incident that what down at Antonio's.

"....Just earlier today the skeleton that assaulted Mr. Stinson was taken under custody an- Wait a moment... Just in a group of anonymous individuals just paid over 5,000 dollars to drop charges and pay for the damages!" The news reporter said from the T.V.

I sat up quickly. "What!!?" I shout in surprise, Papyrus smirked and stood up. I gave him a curious look, "I'M GOING TO GET MY BROTHER." He stated and marched towards the door.

I nod and keep my eyes glued to the T.V, "YOU'RE NOT COMING?" He questions opening the door. I shook my head, "I need to know what's going on." I reply turning the volume up.

"The assaulters name has been kept hidden for legal reasons, Ambassador Frisk Dreamur who was present in the time of the assault has yet to make a statement on the matter."

Papyrus nodded and his phone started ringing, I only caught one sentence before he closed the door....

"YES, IT WORKED, HE'S OUT"

The front door bursts open revealing G and Papyrus, "Finally! I hated it there.." G groaned plopping on the couch beside me. "Shhh!!" I hush focusing on the TV as it switched to a man standing behind a podium with a microphone.

"Hello to you too Sweetheart..." G grumbled, I shush him again.

"Hello, My name is Charles Jefferson. I am the main representative of the Anti-Monster Organization or the AMO. Because of recent events... We have been asked to step in forms of legal action, We have decided for the safety of Humans..."

"What about Monsters?!" G asked abruptly, I hush him once again.

"That both races be segregated immediately. Any interaction between Humans and Monsters is forbidden. The only time acceptable is for legal reasons. Any individuals caught with a Monster or Monster caught with a Human will be taken under custody. We do not take this lightly. This law will be put in effect as soon as possible. We will answer all questions at the next meeting. Thank you for your time."

My jaw dropped, I was not informed of this! I had absolutely no say in the matter what so ever! I was enraged at the dishonesty of the council. "

"Welp... We're boned." G said plainly.

I looked at him incredulously. How could he possibly joke at a time like this! I sigh, exasperated. Way too tired to deal with this... I realized I haven't even spoken to G yet.

I hug him, "Im glad you're out.." I say and smile. G jumped a bit, he usually doesn't like being touched.. But he slowly hugged back. I pulled away from the hug and looked at Papyrus who had his eyes locked on the screen, his face full of worry.

"Hey bro, Lighten up will ya? Everything's fine... Frisk will figure it out.." G reassured him grinning, Papyrus's face didn't change.

"IT'S WORSE THEN WE THOUGHT..." He muttered, "What do you mean? What are you talking about?" I asked worried. Papyrus sighed and turned the TV off.

"BROTHER, HUMAN." He started, I was nervous and I could tell G was too. I'd never seen Pap so serious.

"THERE'S SOMETHING I NEED TO TELL YOU BOTH."
