The Climb

My world was crumbling around me. Everything I worked hard for fell apart. Yet all I could think of was his eyes staring into mine. The way his hands would hold my thighs. The way it felt when he kissed me. The way he ruined my life. My name is Danielle I had everything, the perfect boyfriend, the perfect family, the perfect life. It all started on the first day of school when Veronica my best friend walked up to me. She had told me there was a new a kid in town, which in our city is a huge deal. You see I live in Alma, Kansas which roughly has a population of 800. So getting a new kid was a big deal. Everyone was so excited because he was this rich from New York. Personally I couldn't have cared less. A guy was a guy and I had already found my one true love, Brandon. I asked if Veronica even knew the kids name she had said "of course I know his name but I'm not going to tell you because you're being all sassy with me". Which is her typical answer until she can't hold it in any longer. "Fine I'll tell you its Colby" she said. "I love that name" I had said. Veronica started screaming "you can't have him you already have the hottest guy in the school this ones mine". "woah girl I was just commenting on the fact that he had a nice name that's all" I had said in return. Brandon walks up to us and gives e a kiss on the cheek but he also gives Veronica this weird look like she needed to shut up which I thought was really weird. Brandon walked me to chem kissed me goodbye and went to his class. Then I see him the new kid sitting in my seat. I walk up to him calmly and asked him to moved but he had refused. He was the new kid how is he so confident in himself. Oh right the douche was from New York. I decided to let it go and sit somewhere else for the day. Until my teacher decided to make us lab partners. I wanted to die. How was I suppose to argue with my teacher and tell him I already hate the new kid just because he sat in my seat. I just had to live with the fact he was my new lab partner. "Hey I'm Colby sorry about earlier I was kind of being a jerk" he said "yea kind of" I muttered. I told him since the project was due in 4 days lets just get it done in one day. He said yes of course so I told him we would do it at my house. We get to my house and I start to set up the lab. I told him to get something from the kitchen if he was hungry so he did. After we finished the project I realized he wasn't such a bad person and then he was really smart and fun to hang out with. I approve of him for Veronica. We decided to go out and get coffee and I thought hey why not stop at Veronicas and introduce her to him. That was a very big mistake. I knock and the door and guess who answered "Brandon what are you doing here?" I asked. "I uhh was here to do a project" he answered. "shirtless?" I started crying. "How could you Veronica you were my fucking best friend and your sleeping with my boyfriend.
