[A/N- sorry it's been so long since I updated this story!!!!and I'm sorry it's short. After not uploading for months, I usually would make my comeback chapter really long but again with the writers block. Like I know what I want to happen but I can think of a way to get there. Besides, this seemed like an appropriate way to end this chapter. Anyways! Hope you enjoy 🙂]

Hey Natsu!!!" Lucy waved as she entered the school's hallways. Natsu took a glance at her but ignored her while continuing to talk to his friends. Lucy noticed this and confusion fled throughout her body. She tightened her grip on the strap of her bag and dropped her head down as she walked by the guys who stood by the locker, including Natsu. She turned left and entered her first classroom. She sat in the seat. Moments later, Natsu entered, sitting in his usual seat next to her. However, the mood was bleak and quiet and Natsu didn't say anything. Lucy was dying to speak to him, but refrained herself. "Good morning class!"

Lucy exited the building along with everyone else. She spotted a salmon hair guy walking down the steps with his hands in his pocket. Her eyes widened as she rushed down the steps. She pulled his hands out of his pockets and grabbed ahold of his wrist. This action surprised him. She dragged him to around the school where no one else was. Lucy let go of his wrist. "Why have you been avoiding me all day." He shrugged and glanced at the sky, trying to avoid eye contact. Angrily, she grabbed his face to turn his head to look at her. Her eyes wavered with desperation. He noticed this and his heart ached with a small amount of guilt. "Natsu Dragneel" she says calmly. Not removing her hands from his face, she asks, "are you or are you not avoiding me?" Taking a minute to answer, he finally responded. "I am." She sighed, letting go of his face and slowly walked away while glancing at the ground.
