Mason leans over and whispers
"Are you Hailey?"
I nod, confirming his question. I can't help but notice a little flicker in his eyes, but I cant tell if its happiness or annoyance.

I erase my thought and don't let it get to me.

Luckily we are already sitting next to each other so neither of us has to move.

With 5 minutes left of class Mason and I discuss when we're going to meet and what time we'll meet to do our project that Mrs. Jonah assigned. We have to take each other to our favorite places and the person whose never been there has to draw a picture of it. We make plans to meet on Wednesday after school and discuss who will take who where then.

Finally, my favorite time of the day, lunch! I usually sit with my 'friends' who aren't my friends anymore so I really don't know where to sit. I spot an empty table and start moving towards it. I am about to sit down when all of a sudden I'm on the floor covered in ketchup. I look up to see who tripped me and lock eyes with Claire.

"What the hell was that for!" I yell as I stand up.

"Oops, sorry I didn't see you there." She says with a grin.

"Yeah right you didn't see me there, I know for a fact you saw me heading to this table so don't play this little innocent bitch act!" I yell getting more irritated by the minute.

"Hailey I would never do anything to hurt you, all I want is for you to forgive me." Her grin growing more vicious

"And like I said before I will never forgive you, ever! So stop trying to get my forgiveness because it will never happen!" I storm out of the cafeteria with everyone's eyes on me as I leave. I head towards the bathroom to try and clean the ketchup that is all over my white t-shirt. I rub at it angrily and give up after accepting that this shirt is ruined.

I look at the clock and see that there is still 20 minutes left of lunch. I call my mom and ask if she can bring me a t-shirt from home since I had to walk. But she tells me she isn't home and is an hour away for a business lunch. I hang up and leave the bathroom with a sour expression on my face.

School is now out after my last 3 classes; P.E, spare and English. I decided to go home during spare to change into a light blue shirt.

Walking home I heard a loud engine come behind me and it was my 'friends,' as they drove buy they splashed their drinks on me, without a look of regret on their faces. I am getting more and more pissed at them by the second.

I really just need to go home and watch Friends. Wow, how ironic I have no friends and I want to watch friends.

After binge watching Friends and and doing homework for the past 3 hours, my mom calls me for dinner. We had chicken and some asparagus which was delicious! I go get ready for bed when I hear my phone buzz.

Unknown number: Hey Hailey its Mason, I can't do Wednesday, can we switch it to tomorrow?

Me: Hey Mason, yeah tomorrow works for me. After school?

Mason: yup sound great!

You know despite our little interaction in the hallway he was kind of quiet, even during art class. He didn't even bring up what happened in the hallway. And how did he get my number?

Weird.
