Cory's POV
I sprinted across the Courtyard. I noticed that we were nearing the edge of the cliff, and I could hear the officers behind me. Beside me, Nick suddenly tripped. I saw him try to get up but an officer kicked him over again and pointed his shotgun at him. I had no choice but to chuck myself into the guard. I grabbed his rifle and his sword, and knocked him out. Suddenly I heard an officer behind me. He suddenly shot at me but missed. I grabbed my sword and swung, but he easily blocked it. We kept fighting like this until he swiftly cut my hand clean off. I screamed, and dropped the sword - and my hand - and started bleeding. Blood sprayed all over the guards face, blinding him For a few seconds. I started running until I reached the edge of the cliff. Below was a small lake. I could see a group of officers coming towards me.
"Get in your knees and put your hand behind your head!"one screamed at me.
"I would rather die," I said, and jumped off of the cliff, until I hit the water hard and slowly blacked out..
