Death Comes to the Patient

Revenge Comes First

The void of Death swarms around me once again, only to be stripped away and pull me back into life. I awaken, gasping for air, "I-I died again" I say aloud but then quickly cover my mouth, "I can't let anyone know my secret" I think to myself. I sit up realizing that I've already regenerated "Ha, not dying today!" I say to myself. As I tilt my head up the sun's rays flood into my eyes, "Morning already?" I say, chuckling at myself. I pull out a small piece of wood I had in my pocket. Four lines are etched into it, I add a fifth line, crossing all the others. Quickly I check around to ensure nobodys around "Five deaths" I say, "Man, I need to be more careful." I stand up and walk towards the pile of rocks that was about 15-ish feet away, and dig through it. A few weeks prior, I had stashed some stuff for emergencies in the rocks. Some food, a few bottles of water, one bottle of hydrogen peroxide and some throwing knives, five to be exact. I definitely don't need the hydrogen peroxide, as I'll just regenerate but it'll have some trading power. Luckily no one had found my stash, I proceeded to collect it all.

Next, I could check if the others in the camp were alive. Even though they were good people, I had secretly hoped that they were dead. I checked each and every one of them, everyone was dead. I wasn't shocked, the glitches did their work, you couldn't even tell that Daniel's mashed corpse used to be a person unless you saw him get ripped apart youself. "Now what'd I tell ya about letting people in the group, Daniel?" I say to his corpse. Aleast I could stop pretending I was a kid, next thing on the list, get revenge on Lil. They killed me after all. I'm sure I saw them head north after pushing me toward the glitches. Of course I could survive dying, but it's such a horrid experience that anyone that made me go through it must pay the ultimate price. That's why Revenge Comes First.
