Streaking pure white foundation across his slightly wet cheek, his use to be bright blue eyes appear emotionless in the mirror in front of him. Another tear falls down the foundation covered cheek. He ignores it. He has been.

Looking past the mirror to a particular photo taped on his wall was the worst mistake he could do early this April morning. He whimpers once he sees the face that hurt him the most, photographed so happily.

His heart beats loudly, it aches inside his chest. The long nails he grew out, picks at his arm uncontrollably. He likes the physical pain, it almost matches the emotional pain he's forced growing through.

The candles keeping his room lit up, swirls around once a gasp of wind comes in from his cracked window. He finally looks away from the photo, knowing it's going to upset him more if he continues to stare. But, he doesn't remove it like he should.

Rubbing the foundation into his pores, all around the face, he moves onto more makeup products. He pulls out a eye shadow pallet that is all black with spiderwebs all over the case. He wipes his wet eyes with a tissue, then starts caking on the blackest eye shadow that he uses on a every day basis.

His bedroom door bursts open, making the dark looking teenager jump a tiny bit. A small smile comes to his face once he realizes who it is.

"Travis." He says in a whisper. He hurries to jump off of his seat to give the very skinny boy whom is his age, and is covered in tattoos. "I fucking missed you!" He says into the boy's bony shoulder.

"I missed you too, Mark." Travis says breathless.

Travis went on a getaway trip all Easter Holiday, aka Spring Break, without no phone, no nothing to communicate with the outside world. His father believed it would be a great experience just the two of them since his mother died a few months before the Easter Holiday started. It was so devastating for the two of them, also Mark as well. Mark looked up to the charming woman, just like he does with his own. Gloria was just like a second mother to him, no matter what the situation was, she was right there to offer a shoulder, hugs, and of course the best food any upset boy could ask for.

"Your mother let me in. So, where's Tom? I was expecting he would be here, helping you put on your lipstick." Travis jokes. Mark looks down, not replying. Instead, the caked on eye shadow sheds down his face. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry Mark." Travis frowns, squeezing his childhood best friend. He walks the crying boy to his black covered bed that has mesh fabric above to give it a more spooky feel to it. "What happened?" He wipes the overly smeared makeup off his best friend's face.

"He just left me. No explanation. No reasons. Nothing." He answers with a sad, shaky voice.

His supportive friend rubs his shoulder up and down, he looks up and frowns. "I don't think it's a good idea to keep this, huh?" He says ripping the photo of Mark and Tom off the wall.

Travis smirks sadly at the photo before tossing it into Mark's black bin beside them. He remembers taking the photo, and the whole day. The three of them were at this spooky club that Mark showed them. Mark's favourite band was playing there, The Cure. He was so excited, each time he smiles so large, more cracks appeared in his lipstick. Mark held onto Tom with his head on his much taller, and less spooky looking boyfriend, and then Travis took the photo.

"Well, he's not worth all the tears. Today is the first day back at school, show him you're hotter than ever, and he should regret ever hurting you."

Mark chuckles. "Yeah, like that would totally work. I'm a freak, Trav. He's probably found someone whom is way more normal and shit."

"You are not a freak, Mark."

"Name one Goth in this town besides me." This is the one argument that Mark always wins at, because he is the only Goth in the small suburban town. Travis still tries to argue though, but gives up accepting the fact his best friend is right.
